  Kinda weird question…. I am trying to get my bun to eat more hay so I bought one of those sampler boxes from small pet select with different varieties in it. At night I put the box out for a bit, he seems to like going in there to eat his hay. He is usually perfect with the litter box, but somehow the hay box must confuse him because he did pee inside the box all over the hay. I hate to waste the money I spent on it but safety DEFINITELY comes first (he just got over a bout of stasis), anyone know if it’s still safe for him to eat the hay? I took out the obvious pieces he peed on, but it seeped through the cardboard box so I know I didn’t get all the contaminated pieces. I just don’t want to give anything that might make him sick. Thanks!

  It’s not gonna make him sick, but he probably won’t want to eat it now he’s peed on it.

  I mean, it’s safe I suppose unless it’s left to go mouldy which I doubt you’d do. It’s not sanitary though.
