Our English Angora Teddy is due to have his bits snipped this Thursday, so his indoor pen (it’s a circular puppy pen) will be made super small to fit just his litter box, food/water bowl and bed in it in order to keep him confined and to prevent running about. The reason for my question is that he has an upside box in his pen at present with his blanket in there and he adores in it there at night – however he also jumps onto the top of it. So following his operation, I don’t want the box in the pen as I don’t want to temp him into jumping. But I’m conscious that he’ll have had a hygiene shave and is going to be colder than usual (and here in Sydney it’s winter – so inside temps get down to single digits in our place at night) – so am wondering if he’s going to be more cozy in one of those polar fleece padded dog beds? Or should I just pop his usual blanket on the ground and pop a hot water bottle under it?
