        Hello all,

I have been using this forum for a long time without ever introducing myself. But why miss a chance to show off my bunnies?!

I am 30 years old and working in the marketing and communications business. I live with my boyfriend and our two bunnies.

I got my first bunny as 11 years old. It was an old, stubborn lady who had never been outside her small cage. Not knowing anything about bunnies, litter training et.c we took her in. She peed everywhere, chewed the curtains etc and we all accepted it as that was the way of bunnies. And still she was let out to run freely in the house. She died two years later. Then I got a tiny bunny from a pet store by my parents. Poor Bella was the cutest and funniest of all bunnies that have ever lived. She used to sleep in my bed on my shoulder. But we still knew nothing about bunnies. When she was a 7 months old, my parents got tired of having their rugs eaten and curtains chewed, so Bella was moved outside and had the whole garden to herself. We thought it would be bunny heaven, but needless to say that Bella was really lonely and used to sit on the window pane and look in on us. Ouch. I feel so bad when I think about it today. Eventually, we decided she should have  babies. She gave birth for two days to two huge still-born babies. I feel so bad about Bella, ‘cause we really did everything wrong and she was such a good bunny…

Now, I am a whole lot more mature, have a whole lot more insight to animal behavior and welfare, and I have Karl and Molly.

Karl (spayed) is a 1 year old lion head that we got from the local shelter. It was a present to myself on my 30th birthday. He – or she as we were told (hence my name Karla in here)– was 5 months old and had spent his whole life at the shelter in a small cage. He is mischievous, playful and always looking for some action.

Molly (spayed) joined us this summer. I thought Karl was looking a bit bored and lonely, and I found Molly on a website where people can give away their pets. She was overweight, not used to being outside the cage, but nevertheless such a sweet, gentle and outgoing bunny.
They complement each other so well! Words cannot describe how much I love them  I am so happy to have given them both a life outside the cage and that they have each other. I love waking up in the morning and Molly comes running from the living room to greet me with Karl right behind her.

This is a video of them – poor quality (my first video and a bad camera)

(working on embedding the video, but it won’t be until the weekend)

            Officially Welcome

Thanks for sharing the video – we even get to see Molly binky at the end. She looks fabulous!! I think her new life suits her very well. At first I couldn’t spot Karl, he was being all dark and mysterious. I didn’t realise he was a lion lop! I should have as he is right there in your avatar.
p.s I have that exact treat ball in blue – I haven’t used it for a few weeks, must get it out.

Exactly – a nice little binky at the end She does a lot of those.

I bought that treat ball for my cat, but then I read somewhere in here that it is an excellent way to feed the bunnies. So this is the only way they get their pellets. It’s a hit.

The video has a focus on Molly, but that’s because I actually made the video to the family that gave her to me, so that they could see that she was doing fine…but I never heard from them again, so now you guys get to see it. She has lost a lot of weight after we took her in – she looks really healthy and great now. These pictures I think are from the early days.
