hi all, just introducing my baby wesley and myself….

this is wesley! he is about 7 months old, a netherland dwarf i think (he is about as petite as they come – 1.5 pounds!) he is my first bunny and i have nothing but love for him. he has been neutered and unfortunately has been to the vet more than he’s liked for teeth problems. he has loads of personality for such a little guy, and was shy in the beginning but has grown very affectionate. he loves to play with boxes, stray socks, pillows, and feet. he is litter trained and free to come and go from his cage as he pleases – he has full run of the upstairs of my house and he loves it.
as for me… my name is lindsay i am a pre-vet student in my junior year of college. heres a few more pictures of the handsome little fellow…

this used to be his favorite place to snooze!

he looks a bit grumpy in this one…

and enjoying some breakfast!
have a wonderful evening everyone xx
lindsay & wesley
He is a cutie! I bet he melts hearts of everyone he meets with that face.
Welcome
OH GOSH THAT FACE! I can’t handle this! Haha
He is too cute!
Welcome!
Wesley is adorable! Welcome, and a long happy life to you both!
He’s so tiny! <3
Wesley is so cute! I have a Nethie too, but she is a little bigger than your guy. It sounds like he is spoiled just like mine =) Welcome to BinkyBunny, it’s a great place to be. Also, I’m a vet student, so if you have any questions feel free to ask me!
OMG! He’s so tiny and adorable! He doesn’t even look real! I love his name too.
Welcome and thanks for those pics! ![]()
GAH! He’s so cute!
And welcome!
Whoops, double post.
another funny thing about wes – he has partial heterochromia; his left eye is half blue. it is very striking sometimes!

Oh gosh. What a beautiful bun.
My nava has blue eyes, but not that blue!
He’s incredibly cute. His name is, too. Please post many, many more pics of this little guy! I love him!!!
Oh my gosh he is extremely cute!
Welcome to BinkyBunny!
waaah! so adorable!
helloo!
Ahh! He’s so cute! I just want to pick him up and squeeze him! Well, not actually squeeze him but you know that feeling you get when you see something ridiculously cute. ![]()
Welcome! He’s adorable
My Moose has the same coloring of eyes as Wesley. It’s quite pretty
I only have to mention one thing… can you change his food? Those pellets with stuff mixed in aren’t good for him
Plain pellets are waaaaay better!
uh oh
how come? i started him on regular pellets but i guess i thought the extra veggies would be good for him….. although i know the pet-food market is hardly that easy to figure out ![]()
All that extra junk is unhealthy… it’s like us eating candy for each meal. And there’s often corn and seeds in it, which are just bad for buns all around. Plain pellets, like Oxbow Adult formula are excellent
If you want him to have extra veggies, just give him extra fresh veggies. And lots of hay of course! Diet should be 90% hay. Small amount of pellets. I feed my 4lb dutch boy 1/8 cup of pellets a day, thats it. It’s all they need if they have yummy green veggies every day ![]()
I echo what Monkeybun said. Plain timothy based pellets are best (a lot of the brands out there are alfalfa based which should really only be given to bunnies under 7 months, pregnant or nursing buns, and elderly buns). Your vet can help you determine which is the right amount
My 3 pound rabbit gets 1/4 cup a day as the vet directed because although I provide lots of different kinds of vegetables she barely eats any. My 6 1/2 pound rabbit gets 1/4 cup because he eats the proper amount of veggies. Rabbits are not meant to eat corn or seeds, unfortunately it’s something that’s not just common knowledge. I wish every company that sold pet food would make sure to sell what’s actually good, makes it so difficult for people who are trying to take care of their pets well!
thanks yall
wes does like his fresh veggies and gets loads of hay. my vet did warn me about “junk food bunnies” that get accustomed to the sugary treats and such… i thought he liked this new food a little too much! i guess its sort of the same thing as those yuck pet treats that places sell. oh well. ill get him back on the regular timothy pellets.
omg how cute is he. I have never seen a bunny that small!!
hello Wesley, you sure a cute little boy, yep, a real doll baby, you could steel anyones heart.
