Hello! I would like to introduce myself, and my late rabbit, Solzhenitsyn (my sister called him George). Solzhenitsyn was named after the Russian author, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. He was a New Zealand/Dutch cross who I fell in love with instantly and who will be missed dearly. He was slightly over a year an a half old and un-neutered. He was around 9 pounds when he went to “join El-Ahrairah’s Owsla”. He was smart, curious, full of energy, and loved to run around or lounge. He also loved watching Lord of the Rings with me, as well as He-Man (80’s cartoon).

My name is Laura and I am a graduate student studying anthropology/archaeology in a rural area of New Mexico. Born and raised in California, I always wanted a rabbit but unfortunately my parents had big dogs and didn’t think having a rabbit was a wise idea, they were undoubtedly right.
I have joined this site because I would like to educate myself more on rabbits and I am in the process of looking for a new one. I’m glad to meet you all and I only wish I had started posting sooner when Solzhenitsyn was still with me. I found this site early on, buying Solzhenitsyn toys and treats and cardboard play-houses which he enjoyed IMMENSELY. When I get a new rabbit, I will be sure to show him or her off to all of you at excess.
