Hi guys! I was browsing a forum for bearded dragons that I’m a part of, when I realized that I have this rabbit in my house and I’ve involved in no house rabbit community! So after a quick Google search, here I am!
My bunny’s name is Otis. Before I got him, I had been contemplating getting a bunny for a while, but when I went to my favorite pet shop for crickets, I saw a pen full of young bunnies and decided to check them out. One of the workers dug Otis out of a literal pile of sleeping bunnies and placed him hand my hands. He immediately started to lick my fingers and I was sold.
When I adopted him fin February, I was told that he was 7-8 weeks old, so I estimate him to be a little over 3 months old now. I was also told that he was a Netherland dwarf or a mix with something else, and by the rate he’s been growing, I’m defiantly starting to think he’s mix with a larger breed. He hasn’t been neutered, yet, but he is nearing that age and I’m starting to look into it. Especially if I decide to get a second bunny.
Otis has the best personality ever. When I walk into my living room (the animal sanctuary), he always runs up to greet me and even follows me around, licking my feet. People are usually put off by his red eyes, but once he turns on the charm (and the licking), they’re in love. Did I mention he loves to lick! At night, I leave my bedroom door open so he can sprint in and “dance” for me.
He does have a pretty nasty habit of destroying my baseboards. However, after the application of off-brand Axe body spray to the perimeters just yesterday, he has literally given up that habit overnight.
He’s my kinda my first bunny (I had one when I was 3 and that did not end well), so I am very open to any guidance that can be offered to me!
With out further-ado, here he is!

The day I brought him home. So tiny!

Just hanging out.

Bunny life is hard work.

He’s pretty fancy.
