I owned a Dwarf/Mini Lop mix named Favray for 8 years until he passed away a couple of months ago. He was quite aggressive so I never got a companion for him. So I decided the next time I got a rabbit, I would get 2 so I could have them grow up together. Last week, I acquired new bunnies, Lily and Marshall (in case you don’t get the reference, Lily and Marshall are names of characters on the TV show “How I Met Your Mother”).
Lily is a 3 month female Dwarf mix. She loves to race around, explore every inch of space I allow her to explore (and makes attempts to explore some I don’t allow her to), and checks out and plays with or eats everything I put in her cage or pen as soon as I give it to her.
Marshall is a 4 month male Holland Lop. He sits in his pen, does little exploring and checks out anything I give him on his own time. He is slowly beginning to be a little more outgoing, but he seems happy to just lounge around for now most of the time.
I have them in separate pens right now until I get them neutered and spayed, but look forward to bonding them when the time comes. Their pens are next to eachother so they do scope eachother out and lay near eachother a lot of times so they are aware of eachother (as shown below).
