You can’t liitterally hug her (you are advised against picking her up) but she is possibly the cuddliest, most people friendly rabbit I have ever met. Perhaps she thinks she is a dog… When she was wee little she grew up around a new litter of cats (my sister sometimes forgets how babies are made… boy cat + girl cat = litter!) and she taught the kittens to binky. It was so precious. She also was around a few small dogs (which she turned out to be bigger than!) and lots of people who pet her. She pretty much had free roam of the house (all before she was even litter trained) My hubby jokingly said the other day that a vet could give her a full exam and she wouldn’t care as long as she had some food and someone was petting her. (she is NOT spoiled at all…nope 🙂 lol)
More pics of bud are definitly coming up… he also grew up around a pup (who he quickly showed who was boss… and here I was worried about that dog playing too rough with bud…nope) Actually the first several months our pup was very protective of bud…making sure when he was hoping he wasn’t hurt… and god forbid he went behind the couch… We used to say to the pup all the time… “wheres the bunny?” and he would show us where he was.. It was really good to have such a keen nose around. Bud is the only rabbit that I ever had that groomed me back until Halo started to get the gist of it…she still won’t do it very often though..(she actually pulls too much and bud gets mad at her sometimes…Guess she doesnt know her own strength)
HRS vet listing…I”ve been meaning to do that! We are looking for one in the Williamsport, Pa area. They are actually overdue for their annual checkups too so I really gotta get on the ball.
It was very lucky that they get along so well considering they never “dated” They were gotten around the same time…and my sister (Jenn) always said Halo was younger…but now I’m not so sure… they might be very close to the same age… Although that probably doesnt havemuch affect on bonding them. If we manage to get a bigger apparment (namly a bigger kitchen) I’d like to bond them and set up an area out of NIC cubes…and have them be free roaming when I’m home…but I just gotta stop Halo’s destructive instincts. I’m sure the spay will help…
No doubt they would be just adorable together…I’ve let them spend some (very limited) time together (Halo is hard to keep an eye on…she is like a 2 year old with a ton of energy who gets into EVERYTHING) and they argue over who is going to groom who…and it’s so funny because Bud is very dominant and he is like a third of her size. It’s just a bit ridiculous how they interact but I know they could be good friends.
I’m pretty sure that they only way we are going to find a big enough cage for both of them to fit in…is if A) We shrink Halo or B) We build it ourselves… Luckily, Hubby is very handy…hmm lol
….Oh hubby wubby?
