Oh, it’s such a joy to be able to get your bunny fresh air when it warms up. I’m originally from NY and always loved getting my buns out. But as Beka said, there are plenty of things to worry about. Just take her out for short periods of time for starters, If you put her in an Xpen you can probably sit right there with her for the first couple of times out. Such a nice change of pace for them. And don’t assume she wants sun, even if it’s a cool day. If you have some shade to offer, that may be preferrable. But be careful. They do find ways to jump out, dig out or just shove their way through a door. I’ve had mine do it all through the years. I know it’s a bit risky to take them out, but they have always enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t resist. Now I’m in S.C. and have a screened in porch where my guy actually stays out of trouble and I put him out there quite a bit. Enjoy!!
Oh, and it’s SOOOO much fun in NY as well, to collect free food outside…obviously pesticide free. But I used to collect dandelions and clover (not white clover, so I’ve read) though I broke the weeds off above the ground in case of parasites in the dirt. I still rinsed them off, but don’t know how much good that does. It’s apple budding season I bet. Oh, the leaves and blossoms and branches, not to mention raspberry leaves…the list goes on and on. Just not regular grass. I believe it rots really fast after being picked and can make them sick…?
