was clipping my Lop Dallas’s nails when I clipped too far and hit the quick, after dipping his paw in some cornstarch the bleeding appeared to stop and he went on his merry way. About an hour later I noticed little bloody spots all over the carpet, I picked Dallas up to examine his foot and now I’m very scared. Not only is his face a little bloody from constant grooming of the spot but it appears he removed some of his fur padding near that one nail right down to the bottom it is still bleeding despite putting pressure on the wound.

He is having no trouble hopping or eating and only shows signs of pain when I attempt to apply pressure to stop the bleeding.

        PLEASE HELP!!

Starch isnt enough. You need to press a clean towel against the wound until it stops bleeding. If you arnt careful, he could lose too much blood. If you are super worried and/or cant get the blood to stop, you need to visit an emergency vet asap (((((VIBES)))))

It tends to look worse than it is. Get styptic powder for next time you’re cutting his nails. It’s a lot more effective than starch. ((((Vibes))))
