Hello guys, I need a bit of advice.

I was moving my Bunny’s outdoor enclosure and when I put it down I heard a scream so I instantly lifted it back up and basically since the rabbit has been limping. It’s her right hind leg and she doesn’t really put any pressure on it keeping it in the air when she moves but other than that and some swelling she’s acting just like normal and not really showing signs of distress. She’s eating, drinking, pooping, running, playing all like normal and cleaning herself etc. This morning she tried to itch her face with the injured leg and she was reluctant to do so but did very gently and even moved her toes while doing it. I have a vet appointment booked for Thursday night (it’s tuesday night now and the accident happened yesterday evening). The rabbit was chasing her friend around pretty speedily not really showing any discomfort and just generally playing with her friend but didn’t really put any pressure on the leg. Today I’ve noticed the leg is a bit swollen but what do you guys think? Thankyou!

          Hi,
just so you know, whenever a bunny screams they need to go to a vet ASAP because it is something serious and you want to make sure they don’t have a heart attack.
Do you have any pain meds from previous times to give her so she doesn’t have too much pain? You want to make sure she keeps eating and pooping, if she doesn’t, she needs to go to the vet as the pain could cause her to go into stasis and that with a injury is tough on a bunny.
Because she might have a break( since they are so fragile) she needs to be in a place where she doesn’t move too much but not in a space too small to where the inflammation develops more.

Okay, so we went to the vets. The vet had a good feel of the bunny’s leg and moved her foot around a little bit and she doesn’t think that the foot is broken. She gave us some pain killers and told us to keep an eye on her, I feel as though she’s probably right as the bunny does try to use that foot to itch herself which I doubt she’d do if it was broken.
