Brought the buns out tonight to play and while petting Ellie noticed that she had a little scab by her ear. We cut some hair away and noticed quite the wound. It is about an inch long. It’s not bleeding or oozing, but it does look like it did bleed a little. We put warm water to wash it, some polysporin, and gave her 0.5 ml of Metacam as the vet recommended. The emergency vet asked if she was eating and drinking, lethargic, limping, etc. She was eating a treat when I found the wound, still running around and pooping and peeing normal so he advised we just watch the wound and see how it heals. I don’t believe it needs stitches as it isn’t open, but it does look like a flesh wound. Does everyone on here agree? What else can I do?

Sounds about right (vet’s advice and your treatment). Observe, but it sounds fine at the mo.
Perhaps check nails to see if one is sharpish and might have cut the skin while scratching?
