Hi
I know this is a housebunny forum and most people will probably advocate me keeping my buns indoors however we made the decision to move them outside for a number of reasons, mainly to provide the buns with the best environment. However, I’m an anxious Bun mum today! I’ve just recently bonded my bunnies. My boy bun has always been a house bunny and my girl was adopted, we are unsure of her past, but has recently been living indoors with my boy during the bonding process which has been a success!
We wanted to move them outdoors together. We have a playhouse with run in the garden that we moved them into yesterday, however I’m not worried about how cold it is outside compared to indoors.
We have created a few places for them to go in the run and inside of the playhouse, but they just keep sitting at the front of the run where it’s the most cold and draughty ?
My girl seems quite content; playing and stretching out, my boy a little less so. He’s eating fine, and plays a little but is spending a lot of time bun loafing when he normally lies stretched out/flopped.
We both visit the buns regularly thoroughout the day, check their food and water, and give them lots of loves.
Have I moved them outdoors at the wrong time of year? Should I be worried or will he settle?
Any help is greatly appreciated! ?
