Capt RabbitPam, report to the bridge!
(No, not THAT bridge! ^_^ You’ll see why below….
I think Fiver may be channeling Spockie. He sent me this message by willow star…..

Doesn’t it look like the emblem emblazoned on the shirts of the officers of the Enterprise? Normally Fiver chews his willow stars to complete shreds. This one was left behind last night and, well, between seeing rabbits in Hubble images and such, I swear it looks almost just like that emblem! (minus the gold lamme)
Could Officer J.S. Spockie be saying, “Live long and prosper!”? ^_^
Okay, enough Star Trek refs…I just thought it was cute. Weird, but cute. ![]()
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!
That Fiver – I keep seeing shadows this weekend that I’d swear was Spockie popping by to say hello. I think it’s a Rex thing. That really is something. I hope you keep it.
(Is it live, or is it Mini Rex?)
The first night I got Spockie my brother put his finger between bunny’s ears so they made a “V” and said “Live long and prosper.” My nephew said “You can call him anything you want, but I’m calling him Spock.”
Thanks, MM. I was thinking of you guys last night, too.![]()
That’s awesome! I totally thought of those eyebrows too, but kept thinking of them on Pip!
Methinks Parsnip and Zee might be trekkies –

LOLOLOL! – jersey
I just noticed that Samantha’s eyebrows are Vulcan!
I love that last picture. <3 Bunny feet
hahahaha
Alright trekkies.
I got to finally see StarTrek how it changed the world. 2 hours long was really neat. I will never forget as kids my best friend saying wouldn’t that be so cool if doors opened by themselves like that.
well they do now. lol.
I think the guys that invented cell phones are just a bunch of trekkies that wanted their own communicators.
Glad to be able to send a chuckle your way, Pam. ^_^ I gave Fiver another willow star last night (they didn’t get their usual A.M. tending to since I was madly racing into town to save Taiku’s life) and he completely decimated it with decidedly premeditated disapproval. There was nothing left of it two hours later. 0_o
Phasers set to ‘bun’? xD

I was thinking it was just beamed up. I like yours better.
BTW, in about a week, watch your mail for a very little something for Mimzy. ![]()
Actually Rabbitpam, I couldn’t tell if you were serious or being sarcastic. But yes, a geek who watched too much Star Trek did invent the cell phone. Many nutjobs think that the dude who invented or thought up (whatever) the show was some sort of prophet, which is proved by things like cell phones or so they say.
Y’all better not rent the movie “Fanboys” any time soon – although there is an awesome William Shatner cameo!!!
Adelaide, I wasn’t being sarcastic, just speculating. Guessed right. Actually, I didn’t write geek, though I thought of it, since my contemporaries who used to be called geeks are now laughing all the way to the bank.
It was Gene Roddenberry who created Star Trek. His wife just died – she played Nurse Chapel, the one who always had a crush on Spock. Roddenberry’s been dead for years now.
I have to hand it to William Shatner – he is like a phoenix who makes the most amazing comebacks. He went from being made fun of publicly a lot, to laughing at himself. Check out T.J. Hooker or The Barbary Coast for two TV series that he did in his lean years. (A different toupe every time.)
Around 10 years or less after the first ST series, Leonard Nimoy wrote a book called “I Am Not Spock.” It must be a collectors item by now.

Oh good grief…what did you DO?
![]()
Hmm..let me guess…would this happen to be something that starts with “H”?
![]()
No fair…(wait, I’m home sick today. Where’s my hanky?)..guessing.
Seriously, I’m home on my laptop because I think we all got sinus infections from days of terrible rainstorms, and I woke up with a sore throat and dizzy.
(Sorry, but I must kvetch.) The throat got better, but I am still dizzy when I move around and was afraid to drive to work. I have this laptop home so I can work on something here later on. Naturally, I went on BB instead…I think my ears are off balance. ![]()
Oh dear. You poor thing! I’ll send it right back! j/k lolz…
That sounds like an inner ear flu I got when I was in my early twenties…had it once, or maybe twice, but that was enough. >.< (I'd say dayeinu, but I don't think it applies here.) You may need to get some antivert or another medication that works like Dramamine or Bonine to help with the dizziness. Have you got a good doctor? Antivert needs a prescription, the others are OTC, but I don't know how effective they are.
On an aside, how’s your mom been doing btw? I don’t recall hearing what happened with her teeth and knees from that fall?
I’m OK now, MM. I went to work today. (So much drama at the office, but I felt better so was pretty calm about stuff.)
The dizziness abated around noon, but the sore throat came back and I was cold and sweating. (Nice.) Basically, it was a 48 hour bug, judging from how much better I felt this morning. I think it was a sinus/stomach bug that effected my ears a bit, so was dizzy for several hours.
My mother got better as planned, with her knee healing beautifully so she didn’t need surgery. Her temp teeth are working well, so she will get perm. ones in a few months I guess.
However, just as she was fine again, she and my Dad got in a little car accident, and bumped a car in front of them. Car and Dad were fine, but Mum was pushed hard against her shoulder strap seat belt and bruised her chest bones. No breaks, but hurt like #$@@#$!!! and it takes about a month for the internal bruise to heal. She is so depressed from all this stuff!!!!
I just can’t believe what a winter you and she have been having. I feel so helpless because there’s nothing I can do except drive her to places to cheer her up.
I’m declaring an end to bad news NOW. That’s it. Finis. A Summer of Sunshine is my order.

Hear hear! Sunshine coming your Mothers way! (((((((Sunshine vibes))))))
Your poor mum! 0_o Jeez, she really needs to catch a break!
Hope she feels better soon. I can identify with an aching chest area. *nods*
And I’ll third that sunshine motion! *waves hands frantically*
I’m glad to hear this was only a mild bug on your part Pam, but these 24-48 hour things can sometimes be the worst when it comes to intensity of symptoms. And with our ‘first real case’ of swine flu now here in Alaska (and no idea how it got here) I get nervous if I so much as feel a tickle in the back of my throat.
Can’t get sick now, I’ve got a Relay to go to tomorrow!
