  I am desperate for information on the importing of my pet rabbits from the UK into Vancouver.
  
  I have sent the import permit request to CFIA and have just been told that the rabbits cannot enter Canada if they have had the live myxoma vaccine. My rabbits are vaccinated with this annually – this is routine in the UK.
  
  There is an exemption if the rabbit has an antibody test that comes up negative. But there is only a very small chance that this could happen so there is no way I can rely on it.
  
  Does anyone have an experience in this area? I would provide two antibody tests to show declining levels, and a health certificate from a government vet to show that the rabbits aren’t infected. They are health checked every year and they have never been infected. I just don’t know if CFIA will accept anything like this.
  
  The thought of leaving them behind is unbearable.
