For today and tomorrow we’re forecast temps in the 80’s F (imagine over 100 in the shade for you southerners) and thank God there is a breeze or I would already be a puddle right now. The only good thing is I can take the xpen out for a much needed wash with the hose and let it dry out there which should probably take 30 seconds in this heat.

Of course, with the impending advent of August…the rain will most likely be coming in a deluge. We have yet to experience a dry state fair up here.

Dang, I wanted to use a Deviant Art emoticon to punctuate my post but it won’t work. Boo.

Well, pardon me, but up here, 80 is searing weather. I’m going to take an egg out there and see how long it takes to fry…lol. ^_^
At least in Florida you can get to water within a reasonable amount of time, yes? I mean, we’ve got a river but…*shrugs*…I miss the beach, personally.

Actually, on my vacation I finally took a dip in the apt. complex pool one morning. The water was about 80 degrees. Ugh. Bathwater.
So yucky.

But the ocean was perfect. Especially with the view of the 4 lifeguards in training that practiced right in front of my chair.

Sheez…trip to Florida…I wish! But I hope Sammy won’t mind if a little dogglefox comes along. Jenna panics if I go to the neighborhood store for 15 minutes. >.<
On the same note…. There’s actually some scuttlebut about me heading out to Hawaii to see my dad (our last conversations ended up with him suggesting we get together again ‘before it’s too late’ – he’s having some health issues) so if we can afford it I’ll probably be jetting out there before the year is over. I just don’t know if he’ll let me bring the dog. I feel it would be an imposition, but I can’t really leave her here – she’ll go on a hunger strike. If it’s a problem I might try to bring him up here instead.
However, since he and I don’t know one another that well…it all gets a little awkward at times. But I have to admit… just to be able to sit on a nice beach somewhere and enjoy the trade winds…it would be enough, hm? ^_^

Well, we’re in the heart of winter here. Average temps this last week around 60F
Don’t laugh. I do feel the cold though and wear layers but Wednesday was like Spring. I put a picnic rug out and caught some vitamin D.

MM, you won’t want to hear it….I also want to encourage you to go to Hawaii but leave Jenna home. It’s not good Jenna is so dependant on you. That sort of anxiety can be dealt with and all the better for her and your own peace of mind. Would your daughter be at home to care for the animals? Well that’s my 2 cent ….even though you didn’t ask for it!

Yeah…Jenna was SUPPOSED to be my daughter’s dog…but Jenna had other plans. She’s pretty firmly ensconced in my life now, along with the bunnies and my two cats (I’m at least making hubby take care of HIS cat). My avatar is actually from me walking her and snapping her with my DSi while she was jumping on my leg. Since Jenna didn’t glom to my daughter and her alone, the whole thing didn’t work out….it’s too long of a story to tell again…. >.<

It’s not definite that I’m going anyway, just kind of murmurs right now. Dad’s having gastric trouble and lots of tests run. He’s got one heart test on Monday to rule out any cardiac probs, but they keep putting him off because the equipment goes down. It’s a mess.

My dad and I have a weird relationship. He’s not as big about communicating as he used to be and I’m a lousy correspondent. Sometimes he contacts me, sometimes I contact him…and sometimes not. I’m guessing it’s a guilty conscience thing and may peter out altogether at some point. If I do go, it probably won’t be till October, when it’s really worth it to get the heck out of Dodge with all that nasty snow falling on the ground.

My daughter WOULD be taking care of the bunnies while I am gone. Believe me, that has me worried enough. She can do it alright, I’m just going to worry about them because it’s what I do.

Anyway, the siggy pic is from Fullmetal Alchemist. My daughter found it for me. I just thought it was funny. ^_^ That looks like Pip there in the background having a hissy about her breakfast being late again.

LOL sure thing! I don’t even have a pool! Lucky dogs….

No pictures yet but hoping to get some soon it is cute seeing them all try to cram into the pool.

But isn’t Alaska always snowy and cold? Don’t you guys always wear parkas when you hunt polar bears and such… Sorry, I think it’s funny some people think the North is like this. I feel for ya Mimzmum! We are over our big heat wave and hopefully done for the summer, but it’s rough when the temps reach extreme for days. I think the worst part of a heat wave is worrying about my rabbits and horse overheating. So stressful!

It’s been a lot cooler here, haven’t had the a/c on much. I actually had to wear a hoodie this morning and I was glad about it!!!
