I’m heartbroken and need some assistance

I have 3 beautiful bonded bun babies.  They have their own room in my house and a modified chicken coop to hide in.  We rescued the three of them at different times and they have been with us for years.  We just found out 2 weeks ago that we have to move by January 1st.  This sucks, but what sucks even more is that we can’t take the bunnies with us.  We have to rent for the next year while our home is being built and we have no option to take them with us.  I really really REALLY don’t want to post them for adoption on FB or Craigslist, but I can’t get a response from the local rescues.  I’ve talked to our vet for suggestions, but they could only suggest the rescues I’ve already contacted.  Can anyone help me figure out other options?  This is already a horrible Christmas, I would at least feel slightly better knowing my babies are going some place nice.

Does the rental place you will be living in have a no pet policy, or a limit to pets, or exclude specific pets? Sometimes that can be negotiated, especially if you put down a pet deposit. I know that you have spoken with your vet, but do they allow people to post animals needing a new home in their office? That would be safer than posting them on FB or Craigslist.

Do you have any relatives or friends who could keep your rabbits while your home is being built? Since your rabbits are bonded, they should remain together. Not many people would want to adopt 3 rabbits at once, and I would be wary of posting on FB or Craigslist anyway.

Rabbit rescues are often full, and sometimes don’t get back to people. I would keep trying them, and you may have to contact rescues further away from you.
