I am going to a place with bunnies. It’s a farm, and they live outdoors( the buns.. not the people )

Anyways I am going to visit there Saturday or Sunday!

I am excited. The girl tells me about a grey and white mini lop there

But Panda, my beloved baby bridge bunny came from there too.

I always thought he had something wrong with him. Something that the vets couldn’t see but I could plainly see….

What if there buns are sick?

I am bringing my bunny to the vet right I after I get one, if I get one there…..

I am going to look at each and everyone and look for signs of illness.

any tips on illness signs so I know to not pick an obviously sick bunny?

I will also inform them if I find something wrong..

Am I making the  right choice to look at the buns there?

I am really confused on what “to do” and what “not to do”..

If you want another bun, then it’s the right time for you to get another bun. Beyond the obvious things like noisy breathing, sneezing, running nose and/or eyes, dull coat, I’m not really sure what to keep an eye out for. I’m sure someone who has mini-lops will be along with better info than I have. In any case, go with open eyes as well as an open heart and I’ll hope you find the bun you’re looking for.

Quantum gave you some good advice – look for clear eyes without discharge, a nice coat, no wheezing/sneezing or snot around the nose. Look on the skin for little white dandruff things (mites). Make sure the rabbit is eating and has plenty of hay. Many rabbits who live in close quarters with others have parasites, so make sure to take a poo sample to the vet so they can check for that (it’s not something you’ll be able to see).

Good luck on your search for a bunny. Have you found any shelters near you that you can visit? Spay/neuter can be expensive and it’s cheaper if it’s already done for you.

Elrohwen: Ok. I will look for those things!
And I have checked 1 shelter… already 3 pet shops and 1 other farm. None of them scream I AM YOUR BEST BUNNY ILOOOOOOVE YOU!!
Lol! And I don’t think they will have hay at this farm… <.<

The problem with rabbits is that if they are ill, they hide it really well. Check over their feet, for urine scald or sore hocks, as well as make sure none in the whole area have head tilt.

I know you said none screamed “best bunny”, but it might be a better idea, if not just for your heart, to wait and pick one out from a shelter or somewhere that doesn’t keep their bunnies outside. At least from a shelter it will already be “vet approved” as well as altered, and you might not have to worry about losing one so soon.

I would worry if there *was* something wrong with Panda from the start, its likely to still plague that particular “breeder”.
