I am trying to convince my husband to let me get a couple of angoras and grow my own yarn. But either way this cracked me up.

When I was a wittle child I went to a fair they had angora rabbits and ladies spinning their fur into yard. They were selling yarn and items they have made out of it. My mom bought me two hair scrunches made out of it.

What a good natured bun! She looks a little rough in the plucking out the loose fur, my buns would bite me if I were that rough with them, but he doesn’t seem to mind. 😮

I had an angora sweater once. Then my husband washed it in the washing machine. It smelled like wet dog. =\

I thought delicate material like that is meant to be dry cleaned

LoveChaCha – Unfortunately my husband ruined a lot of my clothes this way. Washing things that weren’t meant to be washed.

WOW! I did not know you could really do that. I have Huckles fur saved in a ziploc, mostly as a kind of party gag… “Anyone want a sweater?” I didnt realize you could really do it lol

That is really cute. If I had the time and patience for the upkeep, I would totally love to have an angora named muppet. The local shop where I buy my yarn has angora rabbit yarn, and I think it would be fun to make stuff out of bunny fluff. I’m always afraid to buy it though without knowing something about where it’s coming from and how the buns and treated and such, but if you’re doing it yourself, well I guess that’s not a concern!
