Do you ever wonder what you bun would pick as their “real” name?
Instead of the cute names we tend to give our bunnies – and other pets – I think they wold give themselves more Vikingesque names.
Winston would be “Winbone the Destroyer” even though – or maybe despite that – he runs at the slightest noise.
Kay would be “Lady Kay the Protector”. Whenever Winston startles, Kay is instantly in the center of the room, or the highest point she can quickly get to, until the danger passes. Hence The Protector.
So, what do you think you bunnies – or other pets – would actually pick for themselves?

This is so strange, just last night I was cleaning out Mimzy’s pen and I was telling him to move over a bit and it struck me as odd when I said out loud, “Okay, let’s scoot-scoot, bunny boy,” which is the phrase and cadence I use when I want him to gently go from one end to the other so I don’t get nipped.
But the thought came quickly…okay, in the bible, Adam named all the animals…but if the animals had named themselves, what would bunnies had wanted to be know by? (species name, I mean)
I came up blank. Because bunny seems so perfect. 0_o However, it always takes me back to Watership Down and the whole rabbit language that Richard Adams created for them…so I would think they may not have chosen ‘bunny’ or ‘rabbit’ at all.Mimzy would probably have been “You Can’t See Me” or “Something’s Up My Nose-ACHOO!”
Pip would’ve been “You’re 5 Seconds Late With My Breakfast”
Fiver would be “Touch Me And DIE, Pinky!” lmao…. -
LOL so adorable. I would have to go with Dexter the Destroyer because he loves to destroy his toys in 2.5 seconds or cardboard
or Dexter the Rearranger (if that is a word?) because he is always moving around his furniture in his cage or his boxes and toys in his play area (aka the whole living room, dining room, kitchen) lol -

MarBun: how Maryann chose her name remands me of an old chinese tradition to predict a baby’s future, called “Zhua Zhou”. When a baby reached 1 year old, the parents put sevral things in front of him or her, most likely, a stamp ( means the baby would bacome an officer), a pen ( to do some studies), a coin ( the baby would become a bussinessman and get rich). the baby’s future would depend on what he or she chose from those staffs. haha~ -

I only named Kahlua, and I’m sure she wouldn’t choose that name as she highly disapproves of everything.
I think she would like something like ‘Lady Loud Thumper’
or ‘Master of Deception’ -she fancies herself comouflaged when in plain sight. I play along and don’t say “Hi” When she’s -umn…hiding
rofl Rupert might like “Lord of the raisins’ or any similar title that would open the jar of raisins
I’m not sure about Chuck-I get to thinking he’d like a dignified name-but then he humps something.
I think Chuck suits him Noot would certainly like a scary name-he thinks he’s quite the terrorist and is always giving me flack- “Noot the Terrible” or “Noot the Vengeful’
