› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › I wonder if Chacha knows how much she means to me..
On the anniversary of my Mother’s passing — December 7th, we got together. She asked me what I wanted to do and I said “Get my third tattoo?” She was totally cool with it and we went to the place that I go. The artist, who is the owner could not get me in right away, so we booked an appointment for today. My grandma turned to me, said “MERRY CHRISTMAS,” hugged me, and handed the guy the money for the tattoo ![]()

Everyone knows how much I LOVE my Chacha bun. She has been there for me through some very very hard times. She has stolen my heart and has loved me, thumped at me, and comforted me. I wonder if she will ever know how much that I love her. So to honor what she has done for me and will continue to do, I got a tattoo in her honor.
And I hope that she is with me for a very long time because Mommy needs and loves her to death ![]()

And so it begins. There is lettering and whiskers on the tattoo, so it hurt like (#&$(*#&$(*#! After a while, my adrenaline kicked in and I totally did not care after that ![]()
Here is the tattoo:

My skin is quite red because my skin is pissed at me ![]()
It is a normal reaction and will go down within a few days. For the time being, I am a gimp!
The Japanese lettering is “Koucha,” which is Chacha’s given name. It means black tea ![]()
This will be my last tattoo for a while. Next year, I will most likely be touching up my other tattoos to keep them nice and fresh.
I am very happy with how this tattoo turned out and I will get the diva’s reaction later.
Wow, your artist did an amazing job! The disapproval is very obvious in her Majesty’s face ![]()
Oh wow! I’m not normally a fan of tattoos, but I think they can be nice if they really mean something special. This one captures ChaCha beautifully.
Oh Brittany, you must be thrilled with the result!
I love the whiskers and the white. The eyes look great. Everything looks great!
This tattoo is absolutely stunning! I LOVE IT! My buns have the same effect on me — as they were comfort after I had a miscarriage. I know the feeling of them meaning the world to you and giving you what you need to help heal the pain of bad situations.
I would totally want a tattoo with my buns but I’m pretty sure my Boyfriend would be completely against! hahahaha. I would just want the first initials of their names or something of the sort. They all mean so much to me.. and theres three of them! Soo it would have to be really large if I did faces!
This tattoo really is perfect! And I have to echo MB, the disapproval is DEFINITELY in her Majestys eyes. Diva face. Love it!
I’m sure Miss Chacha knows how much she means to you!!!!
Love the tat! That’s the expression alright! I would love to see a pic of it and the real Diva side by side.
I hope Olivia doesn’t find out because she will want Momma to get one of her. She doesn’t like being outdone by other bunnies. ![]()
So beautiful! I can actually read the characters and it means ‘Red Tea’ in Chinese! Aw that Chacha is a lucky bun to have a mom that loves her this much =)
Beautiful! ![]()
Heehe. Anna, I think it is black tea or british tea (since they drink a lot of black tea), but I think it could mean red tea as well
Bunny got a Japanese name because my mom was half Japanese :3
I am less of a gimp right now O_O My leg hurt really badly yesterday. Today is less pain and I can walk like a normal person, LOL!
Wow! This is fantastic! I’ve been considering getting some little bun outline on my wrist or something small, but I surely don’t have the ink-wearing experience (and guts!!!) to pull off such a work of art. Well done, you should have one proud bun!
Does anyone else have bun tatoos they can show off?
I was a little worried when you first said you were getting a portrait, because they can go so horribly wrong… but it looks AMAZING!!! congrats!
That tattoo looks amazing! He did a great job.
And don’t worry, I don’t think the thought of your world NOT revolving around her would ever cross her mind ![]()
I agree! We need a pic of ChaCha and tattoo right next to each other! ![]()
Awww, that is such a sweet story of yours!!!!!
Wow! I said when I saw it. Wimpy me was picturing the words ChaCha in about 16 pt. typeface. LOL
that’s amazing. I like the Japanese lettering, too.
Omgosh! I love your tatt!! Amazinggg..
That looks AMAZING! I love the look on her face ![]()
I love, love, love it!! It looks so great and I think ChaCha will love it too!! What a lucky little girl!!
I think she knows how much she means to you and I think you mean the same amount to her ![]()
WOW! That looks amazing!!!!
Haha ;D
Well, I spoke to my tattoo artist and he is the owner and also the one that does portraits A LOT. He does them on a weekly basis and he let me look through his book. His stuff is pretty well known in my area. We talked about the tattoo and he told me what would be good, what would be bad, and well, that was the end of it
He has also done my two other tattoos so I trust him a lot
That is AWESOME Brittany! (Is awesome still an okay word to use?)
I am so jealous. I am too much of a wuss to get a tatt…plus the OH would have kittens…but I love that. It’s fantastic!
How could Chacha not know? You spoil her properly don’t you?
You’re both awesome.
And big hugs for the anniversay. I know that’s still got to be very hard for you and may always be. But you’re a real trooper.
Merry Christmas! ![]()
Holy cow! I have to say, I was really skeptical if the tattoo would be able to capture The Diva’s personality accurately or not. This definitely surpasses my expectations and portrays her perfectly! I am very impressed. What a beautiful tattoo. You are lucky to have such a beautiful bossy bun to keep you occupied and I’m sure she knows how much she means to you.
That’s a pretty fantastic tattoo, and it’s great that you trusted the artist. It definitely makes the whole process easier.
How’s it healing up? no fading, I hope! Does your artist have a touch up policy just in case? The ink in my wrist tattoo wouldn’t take for some reason and I had to go back and get her to redo almost the entire tattoo. Luckily she guarantees her work so she touched it up for free
now it’s perfect!
