  Mikey loves bunny poops, while he’s in their room visiting, he gobbles up poopies-which is great with me considering Noot won’t use a toilet to save his life And I was actually hoping he would like bunny poop
  
  But-Anyone’s dog eat rabbit kibble (He *gobbles* kibbles down)?
  
  Or hay?
  
  He even eats papaya tablets, spinach, pineapple-really anything they have-he seems to enjoy.
  
  My dog Molly would get jealous of my guinea pigs and steal their vegetables but she couldn’t choke lettuce down-Mikey even gobbles that!

  …Forgot to say, Rupert actually got mad at Mikey last night for eating their carrots!

  I don’t allow the eating of any droppings because there are so many deer droppings in my yard that are very similar to a rabbit’s and I need to be consistent with my dogs or they will not understand. but yes, they will eat rabbit pellets, veggies, etc. but again I don’t let them, the pellets give them gas… the only thing they are allowed to have is the hay and grass.

  oh yeah. yes yes and yes. i have to babygate bogart OUT of pinky’s room or else he will snorf so much hay / poop that he will either vomit it back up on my floor or poop out a birds nest the next day. i agree about the poops tho… very handy when your dog snorfs the stray poops. oddly enough pinky is fastidious about her litter habits and i think it frustrates bogart. he was so used to babybun’s sloppy habits. lol.
  
  one morning i scooped out pinky’s daily pellet serving and then went about getting my breakfast ready. apparently i had forgotten to put up the babygate because about 30 seconds later a slightly frantic pinky appeared in the hallway followed by a lip-smacking dog. he had eaten her whole days worth! the nerve! i’m surprised he survived. lol

  My old dog ruby, used to go out in the yard and eat bunny poos. This was way before I had my bunnies, but it would actually make her sick and she would have to get medicine for it regularly. I would assume it was something different about wild bunny poos vs indoor bunny poos?!

  It could just have been the dog had an allergy/sensitivity or perhaps the outdoor buns had something?

  Rabbits can have intestinal parasites- but obviously this risk is much less with an indoor rabbit especially if the rabbit has had a stool sample checked and it was negative.
  
  My dogs love, love, love bunny poo. If fact they often do not want to wait for the bunnies to produce more and they will nudge Cotton or Schroeder out of their loafing position to check underneath them for more.
  
  I have to keep the dogs out of the bunny pens when the rabbits are out- because Molson got into the litterbox once and snorfed up a ton of poo and hay and then barfed it back up in a huge pile on the living room carpet.
  
  What is really gross is that since they are competing to get to the poos the fastest to eat them- every once in a while Skye will cough and hack up a single poo back up- and then eat it again.
  
  They will eat just about anything that I offer to the bunnies- especially any of the treats. The do not like the lettuce and greens as much- but if given the opportunity they will try to eat it- chew, and spit it out, and keep trying to eat it- even though they obviously do not enjoy it. And it ruins that piece for the bunnies being covered in dog slobber and all mashed up.

  Haha! What a sight that would be! My dog also had very bad skin allergies and was allergic to things like dust, and grass (basically AIR and the WORLD!) and was covered in itchy bumps and scratching constantly, poor Ruby. I had to give her shots and meds weekly. I know it is completely different with indoor buns, I wish I had a dog to clean up all my trios remaining poo war poos every morning!

  My dogs don’t get to have half the fun it seems. — I’m trying to poison-proof my dogs. The idea is not to let them eat anything that wasn’t given to them by one of their caregivers.

  lol katnip… bogart does butt nudges too. i can’t believe that he’s had such good repor with all of my bunnies given that he does this and eats their pellets and hay too. why do my buns run away from ME and not HIM???? lol
  
  petzy that seems like an insurmountable task… teaching your dog not to eat anything other than what you feed it. i’d like to blame my dog and say that he’s far too food crazy to be trained for that… but me thinks tis i who lacks in dog-training-patience

  Lol i have to tear Haven and Gizmo (2 of my dogs) away from the bunny pens when I am cleaning them or they will raid the litter boxes. I am used to the disgusting things dogs eat but it is amusing to see my family and friend reaction when one sneaks by me.

  right now sophie eats the random ones gizmo leaves around during his play time.
  
  or they will have a scent war and she will poop right on top of his.
  
  i might use this to my advantage and scatter litter boxes all over.
  
  i’m not opposed to a litter trained poodle.
  
  they’re both under 13 weeks

  My dog tries to eat bunny kibble (love that name for it!) he does eat loose hay that falls out! He also likes to eat carrots! He must think he is a bunny, not a dog!

  K&K, I was hoping Mikey would take to the bunny berries. It’d aid Dog/Bunny bonding. He wouldn’t harm any bunny butts that produce such Gold! What they’ll do to him for snarfing the other Noms may be a different story…
