How frequently I walk around the house talking to the rabbits. Lol

You all do this too right?

I’m a strong believer that animals respond to our voices. Which is why I am always talking to my furry babies all the time lol kind of like when you use negative tone a dog will actually look upset that they upset you and when you use a positive tone they get excited and happy.

So I love talking and singing to my babies lol you’re not the only one! :p I didn’t realize I did it until my husband mentioned it

Yeah, I just naturally do it too.

I just was thinking about it after hearing myself jokingly say to Potamus “Hey! Do you think you’re moving in here or something? Huh?”
She and Maple were having a run outside of their room. Making themselves right at home.

Haha, I talk and sing to my furkids all the time too.

Sometimes I just make fun of them for not having thumbs or blame them for things that go wrong around the house (“Where were you when this happened?” or “Clearly you’re not responsible enough to keep an eye on this”)… In a nice tone of course.

I spend most of the day home with my buns and cats and no other humans so yes, I talk to them. Lots. I have a “bunny voice” and they get excited when they know I am talking to them. Sometimes I sing to them. Often, I wonder if the neighbors think I’m insane when the windows are open. I really don’t care though.

I talk to the rabbits all the time. The dog too. It’s kind of fun because I can say anything I want to Leopold, he doesn’t know the difference. Wooly will look at me when he sees I’m talking to him, but he usually ignores me unless he is in trouble or what I’m saying/doing has to do with food. Like others, I find myself saying all kinds of things to like, as if they were people.

Oh yes. This was one of the tough things in the first couple weeks after losing Max. I would always call his name “Maxie Moose!” in a singsong voice… Now it’s just “Meadowy Bunny!”

                      :o/

We talk to our buns all day long as well. In fact, when my hubby walks through the door – he always says, Baxter, baby Boo, we’re home. One time – he added mommy as an after thought :p Now I get top billing when he comes home. smart man…

I talk to my buns all the time. I’ve gotten in the habit of talking to them so much that I’ve picked up the habit of talking to inanimate objects too. -.- xD

Baxter n Boo’s Mom, my bf does the same thing! First thing walking into the house he says, “Hi babies! =]”

Yep talk to my bunnies all the time. When we come home we always greet them. I usually am more enthusiastic about it that my fiance Whenever I say Bleu’s name she stands up and wants to be petted. Kern freaks out when my fiance comes home from work in the morning. Its so cute. Usually whenever I walk by either of the bunnies though I talk to them. I pick on Kern all the time “You have no balls” in a sing song voice. He gives me an evil look every time lol. I usually just call him Fuzzy Bunny though and he gets really happy. Bleu for some reason responds to Kitty, pretty sure she is a cat in a bunny costume. lol

My worst is all the names I’m always yelling out to Rufus. They’re so embarrassing when you realise. I find myself calling him Mr Snuggles and My Bunny Love among other weird nicknames. The worst was before he got desexed, he used to constantly try and hump my arm when I was feeding him and I kept saying “no means no my little sex offender”. We found out recently the neighbours could hear everything and were always wondering why someone would yell that out while sounding so cheerful.

Haha! Would have been interesting explaining that one.

Haha neighbors must have found that amusing when you explained…

I talk to the buns all the time. With Stickers, it’s usually more along the lines of “stop that, no, carpet is not for eating, would you behave for once you trouble maker” With Powder, I ask permission to leave the room, since he’s my “guard bunny” and lays stretched out along the doorway so I have to step over him to get out, or ask him what he wants when he stares at me. I also ask them both to be more careful cause they like to zoom right under my feet when I am walking.

I talk to the bird more though, honestly. Actually, now that I think of it… the neighbors probably thought I was strange when we were in our apartment because i’d tell the bird “Thank you, I love you too, but I don’t want you to vomit in my mouth.” lol

I had a good long laugh over this ^.^

I talk to Merida all the time, and I know my apartment neighbors can hear me. I’ll talk at her even when she’s in her x-pen at the other end of the apartment. And I say “goodnight” to her after the lights are out, before I go to bed.

Stickerbunny- my parents have a blue parakeet, and when my sister and I were still living at home we’d say all sorts of strange things to him, too. (These days my dad has all-out “conversations” with the bird, where he’ll ask a question and Petey will cheep away, and my dad will keep going as if Petey answered him or gave his own suggestion…)

@Rufus: lols at the sex offender misunderstanding with the neighbors

Yea, I’m guilty of baby-talking to my bun. I’ll also greet him immediately when I return home and say good night every evening. So it looks like I’m more courteous to my bun than to my roommate haha~

Are you kidding? My furkids are the only ones who listen to everything I say and don’t give me sass or a stupid argument in return! xD

I always tell Dobby how fast he is when he runs around the living room. Now when I don’t, he seems to pause and look at me, as if to say, “Why aren’t you commenting on my amazing speed?”

lol, Mimzy….I feel they listen a lot better than my husband.

I also have tons of crazy nicknames for my buns that must also make the neighbour’s question my sanity. The names change and evolve and become crazier and crazier. I rarely call them by their real names.

Some of their current nicknames are:

Olivia: Princess, Princess Pants, Polly Princess Pants, Chicken, Chicken Pants

Bindi: Bear, Fluffy Bear, Sugar Bear, Teddy Bear, Fluff, Fluffems, Snuggiebutt

                                              Insane, you bet!
