I just joined the “You Drank What!?” club

ok, I confess, I joined our infamous “Drank the Wrong Glass on the Bedside Table” club.

 

I had put the bottle of peroxide on the table next to the bed, next to my bottle of water. After getting up half asleep and letting the cat out, you guessed it, I grabbed the wrong bottle. Luckily I didn’t swallow it, it started fizzing in my mouth and I couldn’t remember leaving a soda there and then the taste started in.

Yuck! that unbelievably bad tasete combined with my mouth felt numb…lol

How many of us does that make now?

Well there is 3 members I know of – yourself, BT(?) and MimzMum, there’s probably a whole bunch more who haven’t admitted it yet. I had to chuckle when someone queried the vinegar/water ratio on the boards recently and MM said she’d been using straight vinegar. That means she must have swilled the stuff straight – yuk!

Yep and that was apple cedar vinegar too.   Very strong.  But I can say I kept a straight face.

Umm clean clean mouth you have there.   Shiny white teeth and all.  It does taste icky though. Good ol peroxide has a million uses.

 By the way I don’t keep drinks on the dresser I would fall out of bed reaching for it and it is a long ways to the floor my 3 foot tall bed or it it 3 1/2 feet.

lolz…Well I don’t feel so bad about it anymore. But I’m sure RabbitPam will have something to say about it to remind me of my shame. ^_^ lmao!
Uck, peroxide is SO nasty on it’s own, but I use a peroxide based toothpaste though, so I think I’d rather have a mouthful of that than vinegar.

Good thing you didn’t swallow it. My son told me he did that once (when he didn’t-he was a three or four year old at the time) and I had to call the poison center and everything. What a nightmare!

Not anytime recently since I now have no table beside of my bed due to cracking my head multiple times while sleep walking. But I was about 18 I woke up half asleep and took a big drink of what I thought was water when it was actually diluted bleach! I used it to clean up when my dog contracted Parvo. Luckily it only caused minor burns on my tongue and throat and a few days of nausea.

OH yuck BLEACH    Did you contact poison control?  I always wondered about that.

Lol no I went back to sleep and then went to the Dr the next day because my throat and tongue were hurting.
