A few things occured to me on the way to work today:

It is hurricane season here in FL. I thought about htis because they were talking about weather preparedness on the radio and I relaized my emergency kit is probably sorely out of date. Then I thought, what would I do if we had to evacuate in a hurry with Indy? And suggestions on what to have ready or how to make a speedy exit when you have yourself a boyfriend and a bun to get out the door?

On the same note- how does everyone else travel? When we had Pietro he went on vacation with us to the beach for a weekend once (it was a 45 min drive and the hotel was pet friendly). And Indy goes home with us to our parents’ houses on weekends all the time (less than 2 hrs away). What do you do when its a longer or farther trip? Also, travelling with 2 buns… we want to get him a friend, but travelling already takes so much work now, I can’t imagine it with 2….

which leads me to…. being pregnant and having a bun (or two). Theres no telling when it will actually happen or where we will be (this house or a new one) but I fully intend on being pregnant in the next 2 years (haha) Currently Indy rooms with us… I’m sure this would not be a good idea then. Just looking for thoughts on this. =)

        HAPPY HUMP DAY!

I think if you have a carrier handy that is the most important thing. Maybe in a closet close with set up and ready to go. You could put a small bag of provisions close – like a bottled water and a bag of pellets with some plastic bowls (I think if you stick with pellets that would be your best bet – easy to manage and easy to store – I think hay and fresh veggies while nice would be harder to manage when time is of the essence).

I think as far as traveling, some rabbits are better than others – I think with 2 you just want a much larger carrier so they can stretch out.
