I have a two year old angora rabbit that I just love to pieces. He is not neutered but uses a litterbox for the most part. But the litter box tends to get messy. You see I’m just using a simple square cat litter box big enough for him with some recycled news litter. But since he is an angora the litter can get stuck in his fur plus when he jumps out some litter flies out too. It’s not easy or fun for me or him when I have to get litter unstuck from his tail. Anyone have any ideas or tricks they use? I’d appreciate the help. It is really annoying sweeping up a bunch of litter every time I turn around.

Have you tried a grate? That would stop his fur making direct contact with the litter

No I have not tried a grate as I don’t know if that would hurt his feet. But he doesn’t spend a ton of time in his litter box and he has pretty thick fur. Is there any grate you would sugest? I saw they have some for sale in the binky bunny shop but they must sell like hot cakes because you have to preorder.

Have you tried wood stove pellets?
