Seems that my little Momo-bun has just now at almost 11 months discovered chinning. On her pre-bedtime run last night she went around chinning the coffee table, my dogs toy box, husbands shoes, trash can, dvd rack… you get the picture. I have never seen her chin anything before. Right after she would claim something as hers, she would zoom and hop around. Then she hopped up on the couch and spent a good 20 minutes straight licking a throw pillow. Also something I have never seen her do.
What have I gotten myself into?![]()
Hahaha! What’s fun is when you have 2 bunnies and they come after each other and re-chin everything as theirs. Eddie and Lolli did that all the time. LOL And Lolli now licks her rug. ????? hehe So it’s not just Momo. I think it’s all rabbits, really.
haha!! rorschach licks the curtain sometimes… o.O
Moose will lick anything. the floor, his bear, his litter box, the wall, a window, anything
Monkey owns the world, if her chinning says anything
That said, we are not supposed to understand. We are just supposed to worship, and feed our masters their tasty noms.

A long long time ago, Chacha bun decided that I would be property of her so.. she chinned me with her scent.
She has chinned my friend’s (one of her many ‘aunties’) camera bag, chinned her Mister John’s finger (he was SO SO PROUD) and chins her toys. I haven’t seen her chin anything very recently.

Oh crap, I totally for about that ![]()
I belong to Monkey now.

Arthur chins EVERYTHING! he is like the seagulls from Nemo “mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine”. He chins my sneakers every night I come home from work.
Powder chins everything, he chins our feet, the birds food containers, our shoes, the bed, everything. He also licks the carpet and his favorite is licking my pillow… he’ll jump up in the mornings and has spent an hour just licking my pillow, right by my ear. o.O
Stickers chins everything too, but she’s not as into licking as he is… she’d rather chew. lol
Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!
Silly silly rabbits. ![]()
Sticker, Arthur does the same thing too! He loves licking pillows! I don’t get it.
Maybe it has something to do with our body salt residue on the pillows. I’ve heard that some rabbits do enjoy salt.
I thought that too, until he licked the new pillow with the washed pillow case… weeeeeeeeeirdo. lol
Hahaha, I love it! They are funny little creatures, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I thought that too, until he licked the new pillow with the washed pillow case… weeeeeeeeeirdo. lol
Eddie would lick my dirty socks and flip flops. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! lol
Has she chinned you yet? If I point my finger right at Hannah’s nose, about half the time she’ll chin it. lol
Otto will chin one box on only one corner – I think he saw Hannah do it and imitates her, but I don’t think he actually knows what he’s doing or why. Haha
Charlie was dragging one of my dirty sneakers under the bed last night, I don’t want to think about what he was planning with it.
No she does not chin me. I am pretty sure she hates anyways. ![]()
Don’t feel bad, Stickers won’t chin us either – I think she just assumes we already know we’re her slaves, so she doesn’t need to bother. ![]()
Ahahahaha! Kralspace, that really got me right now!
Tillie chins her veggies! I will hold a piece of romaine out to feed her and she will chin and look at me like “NOW you want me to eat that?” Toby will happily eat her chinned veggies … the boy loves his veggies.
Smudge is a chinning fool, too. He was chinning me last night. I love my rabbits!!
Joyfull – I’m sure she doesn’t hate you. (as long as you feed her, clean her space and worship her). Bunnies are not necessarily affectionate. If she is chinning everything for the first time, she has decided to declare you and yours to be all hers, and you have been accepted as her property. It’s good!
My rabbit is 6 and has just now begun chinning, probably because of the other rabbit. xD every time I let him out he claims something else. Not me though. =( He doesn’t care who I belong to.
Momo is pretty aloof. I’ve heard that English Spots are as about as aloof and un-affectionate of a rabbit as you can get. They were bred to be the super model of the rabbit world. She is a beauty, but definitely a do not touch.
Joyfull, I’d like to see some more pics of Momo. From all the stories you’ve shared about her so far, she is one of the rabbits who stands out the most in my mind since I’ve been a member here. Does she still take your glasses off your face? Lol.
Hodari isn’t much of a chinner. For the longest time the only thing I saw her chin was an old duffel bag, which she also licks and leaves poop on! ![]()
Ha, ha. Now she will sometimes chin my finger first thing in the morning and/or before I go to bed at night. It’s sweet. She sometimes chins the veggies she intends to save for later, I guess so I won’t throw them away!
Last night she chinned the camera lens when I was taking pics of her. I don’t know if she plans to start taking pictures, or what.
I do have more pics, but we only recently got our PC back up and running after a huge crash that took forever to work on. I need to re-download the software to even access them. Not to mention all the pics that are on my cameras and cell phone. I hate our laptop, and it is starting to have problems as well. She eventually stopped trying to steal my glasses, after getting a little insistent about it. But she does sometimes get behind my head on the couch and pull my hair. I also have some video of her playing with her BFFs Seven and Zeke.
My bun chins my 9 year old son, his clothes, shoes, and especially his large plastic toy guns. Nothing else, and not my 7 year old son or any of his stuff. He loves both of his ” brothers ” although maybe the 9 year old more because he is calmer and quieter. My 7 year olds nickname is mm loudie, or motor mouth loudie lol.
