If I was a rabbit I would be terrified of my baby.  He is ten months old and Moonpaw follows him everywhere.  He shrieks and squeals whenever he sees Moonpaw (so I guess it’s a good thing I am pretty certain Moonpaw is deaf) and he is not the best at petting.  He steals greens out of the rabbit’s mouth and shoves them in his own, he gets inside the rabbit enclosure (I immediately take him out, but when the cats do this Moonpaw chases them out, when the baby does he is totally okay with it).  Moonpaw is pretty chill, but he clearly prefers the baby over everyone else and it just baffles me.  When the baby was young enough to be unable to crawl Moonpaw would sit guard over him when he was on the floor, and now he’s really good at avoiding grabby baby hands and just hanging out near enough that the baby can’t grab him.  My husband can’t even pet Moonpaw without him running away, but the baby smacking him just results to him moving to the other side of the baby (he’s not smacking very hard, just over excited attempts at petting).  Moonpaw has plenty of hidey spaces the baby can’t get to so he could avoid him if he wanted to, he just doesn’t for some inexplicable reason.

And then last night I go in the kids’ room and find my daughters in bed with Moonpaw and they are all snacking on dry ramen that they stole. Don’t feed the bunny ramen!!! *Facepalm*. No wonder he likes the kids “These strange creatures come with interesting treats.” The definitely got a lecture on what is, and isn’t, an appropriate snack for Moonpaw.
