alright this is the lounge so I am free to talk of not bunny related, even though in a way my little story here of both. My husband does not work. He is a stay at home dad. But he lacks a lot. has a bad habit of playing video games. So everyone is clear here, I was feeding her. I got tired of him sitting around doing nothing. I grow plants from seeds, stem cuttings, and every other way possible. I must keep them healthy, especially the ones I will be making into bonsai’s. when you have seeds planted, you can never let them dry out. if so you need not to care for them anymore because they are pretty much dead. it is best that my kind of plants are watered around 10-11:00am. and @ that time I am in school and cannot do it, so I have been trying to teach him my trade of watering and growing them and all. the ones in the sweat house are the most important because they have not roots to take in water, so they must be misted, and the bottom of the house soaked so it creates humidity. (HIGH) Humidity. they have to be done every day, misted, watered and the bottom soaked, if they go one day without care they will die and never get roots. I had started to notice that things were not getting done, even though he said he did them. like the ferns I have must be back in by 2pm, or the sun/heat will kill them. I caught him making up stories and all, and had had enough of it. this is what I do to support my family. I grow plants, make bonsai, do landscapes, irrigation, build dog houses and gates, pretty much anything. animal care and training/grooming. you name it. when I seen that when I got home from school (wore out), that I had to sweep, mop, feed and care for the pets and vacuum. I went off on him hard. I should not have to do that when he is here all day, and the fact that he did not care for the plants (which is our #1 source of income) I knew that he just did not care. as long as he has a game to play he is just fine and that is it.
After going off on him like I did changed him a lot. we do not have a house phone, we depend on cell phones. So I call him all the time during breaks at school. when I called him he neglected to tell me he was feeding Dandela and she was low on hay and needed more. when I got home there was 1 handful left and I gave her that because she did not have any. so she did not go a day without food. just over night. That is how it happened.
after school I picked up her feed and came home to feed her and she nipped me.
now about the title. that was not mine, it was changed by admin. so can’t help that. oh and you all say bunnies growl. WOW I have never heard one do that before. what does it sound like? well she is killing this hay, and still drinking a lot. I hope it is just because she is growing. Her coat has gotten a bit darker too. I just hope it is not worms. She got to run the whole house the other day. everything was 100% safe for her, and she had a blast. I may weigh her again and see if she has some ounces on her now instead of her being a straight 2lbs. when I do I will let you all know.

I’m glad you worked out things with your husband. I agree that he should help out with the plants, especially if they’re your source of income.

Make sure you keep all your plants far out of your bunny’s reach, because many houseplants are poisonous to rabbits (and dogs and cats too).

As for the title, I would just stay away from death and killing jokes in general. I know you mean no harm by them, but too many of our bb’ers have lost beloved pets over the years and may be sensitive to that kind of humor.

I’d love to see some pictures of your bonsais. I’ve always been a big fan of them.

My mom adores bonsai trees, and I’m rather fond of them as well. I wouldn’t want one right now int eh apartment, as it has crappy light, and I have a black thumb when I can’t have an outdoor garden.

Dandela sounds like a normal growing bun to me, Squirrel is drinking more water and eating more as he grows too.

How do you grow Bonsai trees? That must take so much time! I’d love to see pics of them if you get a chance!

                Hi, new1bunny,

I wrote a reply to you earlier, but some of the other FL’s disagreed with the point of view I presented and I respect their judgement as those who have had a chance to get to know you better at this point. If you haven’t read my earler response, that’s good and never mind. If you did, I am deleting it and ask you to forgive me if I sounded a bit harsh.

Sounds so frustrating with your husband! Maybe take away his computer :~) those games are addicting for sure.

Love to hear more about our Bonsai’s too. I’ve had a few but well, I’ve not had any success with them. They are beautiful.

hi everyone no hard feelings to anyone. but bonsai is a great art. it is basically making a tree stay small, or in anther way making a shrub appear to be an old tree. there are many style you can do. here is the big secret. there is no such thing as bonsai seeds. why? because there is no such thing as a bonsai tree. bonsai is the term used for keeping it small. you can make a bonsai out of any tree or shrub, some work better than others. yes it does take time but if you get the right shrub, you can make a few cuts and with no wire or training, you can sell asap for more than half the price you paid for it. it just depends on how good you are. for more info on this please pm me. right now there is a new topic on dandela in the diet section.
