So my rabbits never used to chew on walls before. Maybe wooden stuff, but never walls. I moved into this new apartment and one of my rabbits is literally trying to chew every corner of a wall, table leg, etc. I give them a bunch of stuff to chew on so I don’t understand why she’s chewing on my wall. When she does, I raise my voice and say no. Give a small tap to snap her out of it and scold her, but that isn’t deterring her. It startles her to stop but she’ll resume when I have my back turned. I can’t let them free range if they are going to chew my walls D: Do you guys know anything I can use to temporarily stick to my wall to protect the corners? I cant seem to find anything on amazon. thanks.

Plain Ivory soap bars are supposed to be nontoxic, and my bun hates the taste (I read this tip somewhere). I used to coat baseboard corners and save my security deposit I’ve read that it’s kind of hit or miss, but my rabbit won’t chew on anything that’s been soaped, plus you might already have some around and not need to buy anything. It’s kind of hard to apply, but a little easier if you heat or wet it slightly first.

I plan on letting fluffykins have free run of the house eventually and this is something I really worry about!

I’ve seen someone put a board of long plank of natural wood maybe double the height of the baseboard and cover baseboards like that. So then bunny chews on the plank of wood rather then wall and it’s fine because it’s a safe alternative. If you get it in a colour that’s a close match to the walls it doesn’t look too out of place…

Or, and I might do this because I have easier access to this then planks of wood; put xpen or NIC grid type pieces all around the walls. I prefer this because I can order it online, it’s fairly light and also can be easily folded up if I really want them out of sight somtimes.

There are some things called corner guards sold in hardware stores. They’re usually plastic but some are wood. I’d personally go for the plastic ones. They’re designed to protect wallpapered corners.
