In short, how would I go about identifying whether or not my rabbit has ringworm on my own? I will Absolutely take her to the vet soon to be sure, but in the days leading up to it, what can I do to get a clue on whether or not Sirius has ringworm? She is a female lionhead dwarf, spayed, not even a year old!
The reason I am asking is because my closest friend has a baby. Nearly 5 months old. On her arm near her elbow, she found ringworm on the baby. One spot. She and her husband checked themselves and don’t have it…. but they do have two dogs. ? Regardless, her immediate thoughts were of me because I have a rabbit….. We have a dog and two cats also, but my main concern is my rabbit; I live with my mom and the other pets are hers, and I will be telling her to check and clean them up herself.
As for my case… I keep my hands clean, always wash them after I deal with my bunny Sirius, but I guess I can’t blame her. She is a first time mom. Anyways, I was holding her baby yesterday, and then immediately came home and tended to Sirius, so even if the source wasn’t me, couldn’t I have got it/transferred it right to my poor rabbit? ): I’m so worried and scared.
What do I look for and where? Please help! Much appreciated.
