How often does your rabbit do binkies

Mine binky in the morning – Powder gets let out of the bedroom so he’s happy to have his house back and Stickers get her salad so she’s happy to see me (then promptly ignores me for the food).

Rarely.

Chacha binkied a lot when she was a teenager. She binkies on her own when she messes in her blanket (most of the time she flops on the thing). She’ll binky for her morning pellets…

I selected every day, although it does per bunny here.
Squirrel binkies if anyone looks at him, he loves attention.

Smudge binkies every morning at around 5 am, and sometimes for treats.

Monkey binkies mostly at night, around pellet time.

Moose binkies for pellets,a nd at around 6 am every morning.

Oreo binkies at night when the apartment is quiet and she thinks no one is watching. Usually it will be at least one binky every few days although there are some nights where she just goes nuts and I have to watch out of the corner of my eye because if I turn to look at her she’ll stop

 I picked random.  Rosy binked all the time when she was tiny, but as she grew she would bink, hurt herself (since she’s missing a back foot), and quick start licking her foot.  I think she learned just not to do it. But every once in a while her true bunny nature comes out and she just can’t help herself

I chose once in a while, but its closer to often than everyday. Mine doesnt do it as often, but I usually see one or two a day, sometimes I don’t see any. It seems less now that he is settled in, I think it was more in the first couple months because he was happy to be out of a tiny cage. Now that he has an xpen, I still see him binky usually every day when I bring him out, sometimes not tho. I see more plops than anything, and thats good for me. A lounging bunny, I think, is a happy bunny. Just like people, if your sprawled out its usually because your happy and or relaxed.

 sophie is a binky maniac, food=binky, playing on bed =binky, getting chased by cady =binky, saying  her name the right way=binky! lol I think she has her own stash of happy pills somewhere.  Cady binkies in the mornings and evenings mostly, usually out of no where and for no apparent reason.. maybe my craisins were spiked with something…

Thumper lets loose a good binky or two daily. He gets excited when he runs in the dining room when I’m feeding/watering my birds. Gabby was a binky machine when I first adopted her and she realized she was free range. Now I rarely see her do it. It’s usually when she doesn’t think I’m watching.

“Once in awhile” versus “not too often”, these are all very subjective… so I will just explain my bunnies’ habits:

Meadow used to binky a lot when she was younger. Now she is more of a “head-binkier” when it’s dinnertime or when she is getting attention.

Max binkies a lot. He does big, high, acrobatic binkies. And he will combine it with bunny zooms.

I said everyday. Remmy binkies when he gets energetic, which is usually dawn/dusk. Other times he is hanging out in his cage or lounging around my bedroom, but at those times he runs around the room/hallway and binkies in mid-sprint. It’s very entertaining to watch!

One time, I saw Chacha jump into the air and claw the air.. I thought it was hilarous.

I haven’t seen any since they were allowed to free roam, only full apartment bunny 500 runs (I think they compete with each other sometimes). I used to see it when they were confined to the condo and x-pen. Maybe I should confine them…

I chose random; they come out of the blue. Like Beka’s bunny Meadow, Hodari mostly does little head binkies, or “popcorn” binkies. And she binkies more often for my husband than for me. All of our pets seem to think he’s the fun one. I’m the one they go to for cuddles, though!

Thistle is a binky freak! lol He loves to shake his head and take off with a whirl and do some major air binkies! lol I think he does most of his crazy binks when hes on my bed because he get better traction I guess!

I have never seen Maddie binky. Minnie used to binky more when she lived in a cage. During floor time she would binky like crazy. Now that shes free range she rarely binkies. I guess its not as exciting or maybe she expects more space now.

I know many folks are opposed to harnesses—but I live in NYC and Central Park is my backyard. Kelsey loves grass under his feet, but he won’t find that in an apartment…

Kelsey LOVES clothes—tee shirts are his favorite to wear and when it comes to putting on a harness, he assists me. I am careful with him, both on and off the harness.

I have an extra-small velcro harness that Kelsey wears in Central Park. I adopted him in January and he was binky-less for months. He purrs and coos so I didn’t worry about his happiness, but I kept waiting for the apartment binky and it never happened. Our first few times visiting Central Park were uneventful, but maybe the fourth visit, Kelsey was running UPHILL and binkied. (Why did I think he’d have downhill momentum and that would be when he’d do it?)

After that great trip to the park where he felt confident to bust a move…… each time we have gone to Central Park, he does “multiple binkies”—one after another….. in quick succession. True…he looks almost spastic, but he does it. And I am elated for him. He still won’t jump at home so Central Park it is. (Have I mentioned that he is a NYC bunny, through and through?!?)

In the meantime, when he’s not jumping-for-joy in the park….? Ahem…at last count, he has inserted himself into TWO engagements (folks who have a blanket set up on the lawn and a nervous guy is JUST about to propose…when Kelsey decides to tear up across the blanket (no manners) and ruin everything! He has also run through softball practice of 25-30 professional guys. He wasn’t so much the menace as the 5’9 idiot chasing very closely behind him (yeah—-that would be me!!!)

A harness is not ideal, but with it, Kelsey will binky like crazy and I’ll do anything to make him happy!! Still, in the park, Kelsey will never pee or poop—-he needs a litterbox for that and sadly, he’ll hold it until he’s back home. In the shorter visits to the park, he packs in as many binkies as he can–and afterwards, he is so tired that he lays down in the grass and needs to be picked up. He leaves it all out on the field!

Usually I see one or two binkies per day between the two rabbits. Some nights they just lay around and don’t get up the energy. Almost every night Hannah does bunny 500s as well – she’s definitely more active than Otto.

My buns generally binky several times a day. They get “outside time” in the garden most days, and when they’re out there, they’re known to binky many times an hour!

Borys binkies several times a week, at least. I’m not sure if these qualify as binkies, but every time I go into his pen he jumps back and forth over his play tunnels, and zooms through them. It’s a demonstration of joy, anyway. He lives in my home office, and acts as if we don’t see each other all day. I have a barrier between us until I can get all these darn computer/printer and phone wires bunny proofed.

My Jude binkies several times a day usually. I’ve only ever seen him binky in the afternoon when i’m paying him attention. I’ll sit in the floor with him daily for about an hour in the afternoon and he just loves getting pet rubs and cuddles. When we’re finished he goes crazy doing binkies and zooming around my room(:
