Ask your vet if theyve paid for classes to get their exotics certification while getting their vets degree. If they did not or you feel they are lieing, do not go back to that vet with your rabbit. To find one you can google “[your area code] exotic vet” or “[your town] exotics vet” or “[your town/area code] vet for rabbits” and see everyone that comes up. A good vet clinic will have a website with backgrounds on their vets, some will even list the degrees and certifications their vets have. Call or email all of them within your range that are certified. I dont know if i am allowed to say this (please let me know if i am not), but if you live in northern IL i can message you the link to the vet that i use. I trust her more than any vet i have ever had in the past
If your rabbit has stasis, he should also be given critical care on top of his pain meds and antibiotics. You will need/want to syringe feed him critical care or pellet mash while you search for a proper vet for him
