So my bunny got scared and ran straight into my leg. I think I heard a crack or something. I touched her on the face everywhere to see if she would react towards any pain, but she didn’t. Is she just hiding it? How do I know if she’s hurt? I’m a little short on cash atm, so I can’t take her to the vet until next month.

Is she eating? Hunched up? Not moving much? Grinding her teeth? Also, did she scream when she hit you?

When Bandit got seriously injured (ruptured cecum), he didn’t make noise but he couldn’t settle. He went straight back to his cage (safe place) and tried to lie down and get comfortable but he was standing up pretty much every minute or less, turning around, jumping to a different spot to try and get comfortable etc. Then again, every rabbit is different and I could tell, simply from the way that he was sitting that he was in a great deal of pain (even without the constant shifting). So yes, while not moving can be a sign of pain, restlessness can also be.

Sometimes you can hear them grinding their teeth when in pain. Of course this is just one sign, but she is making this noise when you are not petting her she just might be hurting.

Will she take a treat? That’s often a good way to test if there’s sth really wrong. Buns should never refuse a treat.
You’ll of course have to feel her (gently, with finger-tips) to see if she flinches when being touched any where particular. feel her paws by very gently pressing them between your fingers. Look at her teeth, a bun can break a front teeth (incisor). That may cause difficulty with eating (it will grow back but might need trimming if it’s cracked or uneven).

Look for abnormal (abnormal to her that is, only you can know what’s normal for her) movements, posture, or if she tries to go and hide in an unusual place. Observe her. A high staccato teeth chatter is an indicator of pain as drwil says. (The teeth purr you get when your bun is being pet or just feels very comfy is softer and less alarming.)

Sending many vibes for her (((((little bunny)))))
