So far my bunny just likes to run around and sniff everything, she doesn’t seem to have a problem with me holding her and usually i put her on my chest and she walks around on me, she sometimes lays down with her legs out and chatters when i pet her, she nuges my hand but seems out of curiosity rather that seeking attention, and when i set her down she usually doesn’t pay much attention to me at all, she is 11 weeks old (about) and we just recently got her a few days ago.

Seems like, based on the described body language, you’re doing well. Continue with baby steps, reading your rabbits body language and just take some time. If you experience bites, fleeing, cowering, etc.., re-evaluate your behavior and see how a prey animal may have read it.

Sounds like things are going well. It’s best to spend lots of time at bunny’s level while getting to know each other.

In the early going – which is where I am – I think the most important thing is to keep track of how your bunny is getting comfortable being around you. When he’s doing his usual things – eating, relaxing, grooming himself, and the like – while seeming to disregard your presence, that’s a very good sign, because he shows by doing so that he doesn’t consider you threatening. (My Panda and Fernando are so comfortable with me, even after less than 2 weeks in my home, that they can spend long periods lazing about in their litterbox chewing hay while I’m left outside in the X-pen waiting for them to come out!) When she starts running up to the bars of her cage or the X-pen fence whenever you approach, that’s another good sign, demonstrating that she welcomes your presence (even if she’s just looking for yummy treats ). The big thing is not to push anything and let your bunny set the pace.
