Hi everyone!!! My bun bugs is the sweetest little thing and she warmed up quickly to me and sort of warmed up to my boyfriend… but she’s absolutely terrified when other people come over. For example, a friend came over the other day, at first bugs seemed fine, and even accepted a treat from the friend. But after she had the treat, she ran and thumped a bunch of times and then cowered in the corner until they left my house. I felt so bad, I was thinking of making them leave so she felt safe again
. As soon as they left my house, she came out and wanted love and was binkying in no time.
But I don’t know how to make her feel better when other people come into the house, I feel bad having anyone over if she reacts like that every time. My sister (who loves rabbits) is coming over this weekend and is so excited to meet bugs, but im scared/sad that when she comes bugs will just feel threatened by the new smell/new person and hide in the corner again. I was thinking that this time I should have bugs in her cage when my sister arrives, and let her observe us for a little and then maybe go sit by the cage and talk to bugs and let my sister give bug her favourite treat (apple peels) or maybe hand feed her some of her pellets.
I’m not sure what exactly would work best for Bugs to feel safe, if any of you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!!!!
This is my little cutie
