My last post was my rabbit death issue… If any of you followed up with that you’d know I only have one rabbit, Elsie at the moment. I’m proud to report she’s doing great! I don’t know if it’s because we switched her to bottled water or because she was moved upstairs (away from any possible gasses)
Since she’s doing so good, I’m hesitant to change anything about her current living style. However there’s in issue. If Elsie is to live upstais, away from any gasses our basement may be creating (my bedroom is in the basement) she has to live in art store cage. There’s simply no room for anything larger. At the moment she’s small enough that it doesn’t really matter, but she’s growing and fast.
After the bunnys’ spay I had planned to move them into my big hutch/free range but when Millie passed I got paranoid and moved Elsie upstairs. There’s no way to allow her to be free range upstairs, but I know it’s safe from our furnace upstairs.
Im stuck with this dilemma. Do I keep her trapped in a small cage, of course she’s aloud out each night! Or do I move her downstairs with the chance that our furnace creates harmful fumes that nobody notices because they’re not bad enough for people and cause her to potentially follow in the tracks of her sister? I’m stuck… And there’s no way to prove any of my theories since water and fume levels are safe for people… But that doesn’t convince me. Ideas?
