holding his pee?

hi all!

i am new on the bunny real, and something odd happend last evening.

my bunny Tuten is nearly 2 months old i have him since he was 5 weeks old.

the first days i got him i didnt have much clue of how to toilet trained him and to be honest i didnt make the time for it, just enjoying to play with him and get to know him. I read several articles saying that a baby bunny is harder to train than an adult bunny. but after cleaning several times the corner he was using as a toilet i decide to give it a go and guess what, took me about 3 hours and he got it right!!!

yesterday i went to work (i take him everywhere with me) and suddenly i notice his belly was huge! i start touching his belly, which was a bit hard but not sign of pain at all, he seams as curious and normal as usual, start researching in the web about bloating and i panic to read about it. 

it was really like he had eating a lot, but i though he cant get fat from few hours right?

now i think he was holding his pee because when we got home he went straigh to his litter box and he was acting just normal running and hoping like mad! hahaha now ive been holding since last night until today morning and his belly is normal again. could be just that???

It’s not unheard of for rabbits to hold onto it when they’re taken somewhere different. When I first had Bandit I kept him indoors, but had to move him outdoors when we had a rental inspection. When I would do that, he wouldn’t go to the toilet at all. This can be quite dangerous for a rabbit because poop can get backed up and cause a blockage. When you took him to work, did you take his litter tray as well?

Otherwise, another option for a swollen stomach is bloat or a gassy tummy as you mentioned. Certain foods are more likely to cause this than others, in addition to a large amount of new food. This is also very dangerous and can be fatal if left untreated.

well i always take him with me at work, the first days as i said i didnt toilet traine him so anyway he didnt have any problem doing it on top of the desk hahahaha
but after i have toilet trained him i think he just like his litter box,
he did poo, a lot, no problem with that, just he didnt pee.
i was searching for what could have been the issue of seing suddenly fat so i start ruling out pain, listen his stomach his teeth etc. nothing abnormal, when we came back home i put him on the floor and he went straigh to his liter box, i was still a bit worry so i kept an eye on him and holding him al the time to see the progress of his belly, and he is body was as normal as usual.
i am introducing him to new food, like parsley coriander capsicum, and i bought an orange for myself yesterday and he went absolutley crazy with the smell, this happend to be after the belly issue, so search first if it was ok and safe for him, so i gave him a piece of it, a tiny one, and he ate it in a blink! other than that nothing else than hay and some bunny food but i have limited for now on and made the hay first priority.

It seems like something may have upset him, maybe one of the new foods. Perhaps remove them all and reintroduce them but only one at a time, so that if problems arise you know which food is causing it.
