Hi Petie!

Oh Goodness Lashkay, he’s a looker!  I’ve not heard of the term “sport” before. What exactly does that mean?  I have heard vienna on this site before. Does Petie have blue eyes at all? Edit: No I can see he doesn’t. The BEW have this vienna gene correct?

Thanks. I found these definitions on the internet:

VM: Vienna-Marked (carries the BEW gene and it is revealed through white markings; also called Sport, Miss-marked, Dutch-marked)

VC: Vienna-Carrier (carries the BEW gene but it is hidden)

FYI, his breeder also had this to say:
he carries the vienna gene. He is a sport. Some show the ‘sport’ marking, some do not.
yes they are called vienna carriers, sports or mismarks. but all being vienna carriers, the gene that makes Blue eyed whites or BEW
Vc would be one not showing the ‘mismark’ VM would be one that would be a marked carrier.

Thanks, special_kt9, everyone, glad you take to the little bugger. He’s a bundle of energy! He takes treats from my fingers and lets me brush him, Yay! I couldn’t resist ordering an exercise pen to let loose all that energy. Just have to find the space to put it in, now!
