Hey guys!! I’m so happy I found this forum! Okay my bunny’s intro (drum roll…….)

Nowww the intro of Sophie’s “subject”  My name is Giuliana, I am 22 years old and I’m originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina but I moved to Florida in 2001.

1. Are you new to rabbits or have you been a bunny slave for a long while now? Very new, never had a bunny before.
   
2. What made you choose to have a rabbit companion in your life? I went to a friend’s house and she told me she had rescued a bunny. What happened was that a bunny breeder didn’t want a bunny litter she had so she left them at a Petsmart. Petsmart couldn’t sell them because they can’t sell rabbits that are from a breeder that is not theirs. So my friend was in Petsmart and rescued one of them (Sophie) and was fostering her. I loved her the moment I met her! The thing is I have two small yorkies and I didn’t know how they would react but I had to adopt her. I didn’t want anything bad to happen to her and she was so adorable! (my yorkies liked her until she bit both of them! so now they kind of get out of her way)
   
3. Anything else that you’d like to share – hobbies, interests, talents: I love animals, my favorite animal is the great white shark, I sing, write songs, scrapbook, anddddd I love chocolate!

How can I know what breed is Sophie and how old she is? My friend told me she might be 6 months old. She is all black and has some visible white hair on her back. Yesterday I took her to the vet for a checkup (She’s totally fine! =) but she didn’t know what breed it was and I asked her why Sophie bites me and the dogs so much without any reason and she told me it might be cause she isn’t spayed or because she is an adolescent. Do any of you guys have the same issue? She doesn’t bite when I clean her cage or anything, I’m just standing somewhere or laying on my bed or couch and she goes at it!

Welcome! Sounds like Sophie put your Yorkies in their places! Lol. From your description is sounds like she may be a Silver but total guess. Maybe Petsmart can tell you who the breeder was and you can contact her as to breed identity? This guide might help: arba.net/Breeds.htm

Welcome!!! So glad you joined us. From your avatar photo – she looks beautiful, but it is hard to tell what kind of breed she is.

For other question you may have about her, like biting, type of breed etc, we’d love to help you out so be sure to post in the other sections of the forum. For example – post your about her biting habits in the “Behavior” section. And be sure to clarify if there is a particular time she does it – like when you reach into her cage, or while you are petting her or etc. Again welcome, and see you in the Behavior section!
