Hi Pinky is up n working

I got pinky turned on as there was a deal on RR lightning.  

I still use my phone tho.  Cotton is doing great.  Spoilt mamas boy that he is.

I was getting ready to go to the ceramic room yesterday and Cotton looked at me so sad.  I couldn’t leave him so I sat back down called him over and he came and got his petting n lovings.  Then I decided to take him with me to the dock.  Came home he was so happy.  He also foot flicked me. 

I wonder why he foot flicks me when he toothpurrs the whole time.  Very interesting.

Oh I feel terrible.  HE has chewed the tie wrap on his shelf and got his toe stuck in it.  I didn’t know that and was trying to get him to come out his house.  Usually I just stick my hand at the top and he runs out.  Well not this time.  So I put my hand in the door and he boxed me.  I pushed him off his shelf and heard a squeak.  Broke his doggone toe.  I could cry I feel horrible.  I didn’t know.

No wonder he was sitting all funny and would push  me away when I went to pet him.  It hurt.  I couldn’t figure out what was wrong.   I checked him over but didn’t check his toes. 

Now the toe is sticking out to the side the toenail is.  It doesn’t seem that the toe is even attacked to the foot anymore.  I noticed 3 months ago when I was doing his nails.  I couldn’ figure out what happened.  I been racking my brain to figure it out.  I finally realized what had happened was too late.

He is fine now he runs all over the living  room it is so funny. I try to video him but I can’t keep up.  lol.  I am glad he is doing great and it doesn’t bother him now.  I could cry.  How could I have not known his toe was stuck.  Poor baby. 

I fixed his shelf for I didn’t notice where the tie wraps came from that were on the floor.  I just noticed 2 cleanings ago well last sunday so I fixed it for him.  I will check on it to be sure that does not hapen again,

So glad Pinky is fixed and we have a post from you again. Missed you and Cotton Boo.

Did you take Cotton to a vet, or was it totally healed in the post-break mode by the time you discovered it? Hard to know these things sometimes. Wish they could talk. Anyway, I’m glad he is doing better now.
I always envy you your trips to the dock with Cotton. Don’t let him guilt trip you away from Ceramics class too often, though. You need your play time as much as he does.

a bit late for the vet now.  It has healed already.  Still how could I not have known.   I checked his shelf when i cleaned his house yesterday and noticed it was still saggy from his weight when I put my hand on it.

I stuck several more tie wraps on it. 

Cotton goes to eat his oxbow and I heard him chewing something.  One of the tie wraps was poking him and he chewed the piece off.  The tie wrap is still attached tho. 

That also explains why he was lying down on the botton of his cage and not on his shelf.

I still feel so terrible I didn’t know.

Hi BT! It’s good to see you again!
Sorry to hear Cotton Boo hurt his toe. They get into such trouble! Hope he’s all healed up now.
A few months ago…maybe a year now that I think about it…I had a bad nail clipping with Pip and wound up taking the entire inner nail off her right rear foot. 0_0 It bled terribly and I felt awful! Took months to finally grow back out. Wasn’t sure it ever would but it’s there now and all sideways.
Then I went an nicked off Fiver’s front right toenail two weeks ago…just can’t catch a break!

I am also wishing I had a nice warm water dock to take my bunnies to. How lucky you are!

Hi MM.   Yes I know how that terrible feeling of omg what did I do to my rabbit feeling is all about.  their poor toes n nails.
