Hi there
I posted a question or two prior on the Behavior topic, but I wanted to formally introduce myself and my rabbit here!
My name is Michelle and my rabbit’s name is Sheldon, he’s about 10 months old. I’m guess-timating on that because when I adopted him, the bunny lady (as I affectionatly call her) said he was about 9 months, and I have had him for just over 1 month. I adopted him the Sunday after Thanksgiving! He is a very, very feisty, naughty bunny whom I’m pretty sure is plotting ways to kill me. He’s very affectionate when he wants to be, but after I scold him, he’ll retreat to his pen and glare at me. Sit there on his back feet, sitting up a little with his front paws still on the ground, and just glare at me disapprovingly.
Yes, he is a lop. A mini-lop, I think, in that he is about 3-4 lbs. And he does not have a shortage in lop-itude.

He loves to eat his hay as well as his pellets and he loves his bunny plush Girlfriend. I am currently searching for a mate for him (spayed, of course! And he is neutered
because he just needs to love. He tries to befriend our cat, Krum (he’s a big, green-eyed black 20 lb cat with too many toes), but Krum is totally afraid of Sheldon.
Sheldon is most certainly a trouble-maker. He delights in causing mischief. Commonly he likes digging my bed covers. I’m trying to figure out a way to deter him but mostly I’ve had to just cuddle him into submission whenever he jumps on the bed. Sometimes when I scold him, he will run away jumping in the air and binkying. Though lately, it’s mostly been the glares of “I kill you” as mentioned earlier.
Speaking of his pen, I built it myself. I took an 8 panel dog pen, a long wooden board and a bunch of tile, threw them all together and created his massive pen enclosure
Myself, I am 23 with a 3 year old boy. I’m totally new to rabbits but I’ve been doing research about them for years. I always wanted one but could never have one.
Now I have made my dream come true! I work as a pet-sitter and it’s the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had and probably will ever have!
I’m really glad I decided to check this place out, everyone’s been really helpful when I have questions
Looking forward to a future of bunny chat!
Michelle
