› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › WELCOME ! › Hi, meet Liliy!
She’s the sweetest bunny ever! She had really rough start to her life, but that changed the day I became her mom! I got “her” when she was just over 4 months old. “She” supposably had been to a vet & got checked out, but really doubt that & “she” was definately a girl! Well, 2 weeks later “she” reached sexual maturity! Went from being totally litter trained to pooin everywhere & mounting everything! I read that female bunns can do that too, so wasn’t shocked about it! Then one day we were playing on the floor together & she started softly buzzing and hoping around me! HMM! I had a male bunn before, I flipped “her” over & Lily was a MALE! LOL! Lily know’s “her” name & “she” is momma’s little “girl” so we kept Lily as she knows it! LOL! She has been neutered & is doing great! Lily is a free bunny, no cage anymore & comes & goes as she pleases! She makes very few messes, only when she finds away up on something new. It’s like she’s so proud of herself, she poo’s all over it! LOL!
Boo’s is our cat, he is ok with Lily now, but at first he didn’t like her at all! But after being locked out of the living room a few times he realized he has to be nice to her or he’s out! Momma means business! LOL! WOW! I could just go on & on about my babies!
!

here`s a picture of Boo`s watching Lily & her new basket!
Hi! She is adorable! I love her coloring! That’s funny that you still call her a her
Other people on this site have had a “she” turn into a “he” ![]()
LOL! I am just so used to it, I can`t help it! LOL! Boo`s is my little boy, Lily`s my little girl! They both know that too! It`s hard to refer to Lily as `he`, `Lily has been a she up til a few weeks ago!
Dawww, the buzzing sound is SO CUTE!!
My bun only made the buzzing noise, circled me, and peed on the carpet (thank you carpet removers for pets.. lol) and that is all the bunnitude I got before she got spayed LOL!!
Welcome aboard ![]()
Aww he’s so cute! I love the photo of him eating your vase flowers. So typical. They seem to always know what to get into when they aren’t welcome there! He looks so much like my Bumblebee’s brother that my friend has. Sqweee. Welcome welcome!
Britany, your female bun did that too? That’s what made me think that Lily was a male! LOL! I had reasearched & found that male & female rabbit behaviours are similar during that time, but thaught only the male buns hop around you in circles! HMM!
Lintini, Lily does look alot like Bumble Bee! Do you know what breed they are?
LOL
I love that you write “she”
I’m sure you will confuse us a bunch of times in various threads when you write abour “her”!
(S)he is gorgeous and looks like (s)he has a really great life. I love those pictures. It really shows a bunny in a fantastic home.
And happy to hear that Boo and Lily are becoming friends. I have seen a lot of videos on Youtube of cats and bunnies snuggling and grooming each other.
LOL! I appolagize in advance! But we still call Lily a her, a she & she is our little girl! I am still trying to get used to the fact that Lily is a boy! I was so surprised, because Lily was so sweet, too sweet to be a boy (as my boyfreind says)
We are doing our best for Lily! That`s why my profile name is`4Lily`cause everything`s for her! I think every bunny`s different, but wish for all to have lots of love & freedom!![]()

This made me laugh out loud. Bunny people will tell you that 9 times out of 10, the girls are not sweet. Males are the ones with the reputation for being sweet(er) and mellow(er).
So if you had posted prior to getitng her sexed and said, “She’s so sweet!”…
My response would have been, “You sure she’s a SHE?!”

LOL! I know, but we had a male that was really mean & bossy! That`s why Lily is too sweet to be a male! Well, according to my boyfreind! I wanted a male even when we got Buttercup! Casey, my boyfreind, was so mad at me because Buttercup was so bad, he said we should have gotten a female! LOL! I don`t think he was really mean, he just didn`t know how to show affection or to get attention anyother way, except biting & spraying us!
I should write a book about my experiences with having bunnies! Everyone wondered why I wanted anouther one. I told them that I am training Lily, this one will be different!
Was your male neutered? Those types of behaviors typically stop after altering.
Yes he was neutered & he still acted that way for 3 mo’s! They said it might take a week, then they said maybe a month, but he never stopped! He was awesome still though, just had to wear boots around him! Right before the dogs got him, I realized he just did that to get our attention! He wanted petted all of the time & if we were walking away from him, he’d really attack! I thought that was because he wanted us with him all of the time! It was just how he communicated with us! Once I realized what he was doing he got alittle better because I just kept petting him! LOL! He would wiggle his way between my boots then nip, if I didn’t pet him he’d started biting til I petted him! LOL!
Bumblebee is a Holland Lop, but your Lily seems to have a longer face when I think Hollands have the flatter smoosh face? I could be wrong but I thought that is what I read. Lily is some sort of lop – and a cute one at that! Err..handsome I mean ![]()
LOL! I love Lily no matter what breed! Lily’s so cute! Lily’s face is kinda like a english lop, but the ears are totally different! LOL! I like how the holland lops look grumpy with there smushed face & chunky cheeks! Also Lily has doubled in size in 1 month! So I don’t know how big Lily’s going to get!
