  Hi, my name is Ashley and I’ve been a rabbit slave for 2 years now, I have two beautiful boys with two completely separate personalities. They never fail to make me smile each and every day. I am a Biology major. I love animals, and I’m very passionate about rabbits. People never understand how amazing rabbits are as pets and as companions. I’m glad to have found a place with people who share my love for these animals.
  
  Enough about me….
  
  The Boys:
  
  Duke
  
  Duke is my 2 yr old French Lop. I got him from a lady who raised animals for show and after realizing he had a “defect” (his teeth were misaligned due to chewing on his terrible outside cage) gave him to me to save him from a not so fortunate fate. From that day forward he was spoiled rotten… and that’s where I believe he got his attitude. He’s a very demanding bunny and doesn’t mind telling you when he’s not happy. I call him a grumpy old man.
  
  Beau
  
  I adopted Beau a few months after I got Duke. His previous owners had thrown his cage out on the side of the road with no food or water. One of my friends new the people who found him on the side of the road and called me knowing that I had a rabbit already. When I got him he was extremely afraid of people and had a terrible ear mite infestation. I got him treated and with time he completely healed from the ear mites and began trusting us. Now he’s a very friendly bunny, starving for attention, and completely grateful for everything that he is given.
  
  Both of my boys are neutered and I’m hoping to begin bonding them soon. I’ve had some issues between them in the past, so I’ve been afraid to start, but I now have time and lots of information from this site… So wish me luck.. I’ve moved their pens together and they seem to be okay with each other. I guess we’ll see….

  Hi, and Welcome to Binky Bunny from me and my 3 rabbits. Your boys are very handsome. How sad that someone could do that to Beau. He is very fortunate to have been adopted by you!

  ^ Hahah, what a shock that would be. Although, I’ve only had boys so I don’t know how different the girls would be from the boys before they hit sexual maturity..

  Ashleyy, I just love your Duke! Can you show him off some more if you have photos? Also, I was wondering how you are dealing with his misaligned teeth? Does he need a special diet, or dental care?

  Petzy, thank you! I’ll need to get more pics of him. I haven’t charged my camera lately so I only have pics on my phone and it takes very low quality pics. Actually, his teeth are perfect now. He just had curved them or something by chewing on the cage as a baby, once I got him and he started wearing them down, they evened out. I had to check on them often though to make sure they were wearing correctly.
  
  Sarita, thank you as well! I’m actually planning on going to graduate school to get a Ph. D in Immunology. I initially wanted to be a vet, but I changed my mind lol

  Welcome! Duke and Beau are such handsome boys! I love their coloring, especially Beau’s, and Duke looks like such a cutie. You did a great thing by giving them both a home with you
