I’ve been lurking for a while and thought I would finally get around to introducing my bunny (and myself too, I guess).
The Garden Siblings
Late June my gf got a text from a coworker that the coworker had found three little bunnies in their garden. They were clearly domestic, and still growing to boot so she caught them and brought them in out of our “wonderful” Arizona summer, but she unable to discover exactly where they had come from. The coworker wanted to know if we knew anyone interested in adopting a rabbit (or two or three)?
The answer was yes, I wanted a bunny (I wanted them all but we only have space for one or two buns at the moment). We were going to take the bunnies to the vet and to get sexed and planned to keep whichever two were the same sex, but we really connected with the biggest of the three who happened to be the only girl, and we ended up keeping her. (Don’t worry the two boys have since found their own homes.)
Momo Making Herself at Home
And that’s the story of how Momo came to live with us. Now we’re knee deep in hay and bunny toys, and I spend hours doing research about bunny kibble that is only a small portion of her diet (we have a salad spinner and food dehydrator).
I look forward to getting to know everyone through more lurking and maybe the occasional interaction
