        Rabbit Info:

I currently have a 7 month old mini lop with white fur and an orange “broken” fur pattern named Admiral Remington Reginald III (Remmy for short)  He got this ridiculous name because he has a patch of orange fur on his face that looks like a mustache.  I adopted him from the SPCA near me when he was 5 months old and now I am in the process of finding a vet experienced in neuturing!  (I have been on the phone a lot these past few days with questions!)

Remmy is naughty, but very calm.  He is my second rabbit (my first rabbit was a very active dwarf rabbit) and is proving to be much easier to train/handle than I expected (based on my previous experience).  He is a mini lop .  I went to the SPCA near me looking for a rabbit and we made a connection over some timothy hay and forehead rubs.  The rest is history!

I had a pet-store rabbit before named Nicky who was very small and very active.  He is missed and I get upset because sometimes other people call Remmy “Nicky”.  I was naive when I first got Nicky (while on the “cute high”) but I did my research and found that I really enjoyed having the little furball in my life.  I didn’t actually intend to get a second rabbit (out of respect for Nicky) but you know how plans change!  I don’t have any other pets, but when I visit my parents Remmy comes along and plays with the dog.  It reminds me of when Nicky used to nip the poor dog on her butt!

Aw welcome! I too got my first bunny on a cute high and was completely inexperienced and ill informed as well, and he also passed. But it looks like you have a very handsome bun who loves you and a bunny over the rainbow bridge who was lucky to have such a caring mommy!

By the way I love the name!

Welcome! Remmy is very cute! And Nicky sounds like he was quite the character! I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard that is.

So many times we have new members come on with a similar story. Their first rabbit passed. They had little idea how to properly care for a bunny. They are starting over again with a new bun and now they are ready to do the research and make their new rabbit’s life the best possible. You are not being disrespectful for getting a second rabbit. You are honoring Nicky’s memory. You are taking the knowledge you gained from having Nicky and applying that to help make another rabbit’s life wonderful and carefree. Due to your love of rabbits, now beautiful Remmy has a forever home.

              Welcome

I had a rabbit as a child too, but now I have my own little one that is my own responsibility. It is a lot of work. I have a dwarf and she is a brat, and is pretty easy to care for.. unless she is threatening me with thumps (uh, time for pets.. lol).

Ha ha, I love the last picture in your thing of Remmy pictures – it made me laugh! Remmy is very adorable. I wish you a long happy life wife him.
                    Nicky was adorable too.
