hey everybody!

i’m louise. new 2 this forum but i have been reading from ere 4 the last few wks.

i finally get my new bun 2moro!!! i cant wait. she is a mini lop and 8 wks old.

i’ve wanted a bunny all my life. i have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 hamster and now maisey (bunny)

i’ve done so much research on the subject as i didnt want 2 go in blind.  she is goin 2 be an indoor bunny but she will have access 2 the garden when ever she wants.

we have a 2 storey hutch for her at the minute. once she has settled i think we are goin 2 go 4 the cubes that most of u are using.

any tips that u av would be greatly appreciated  as i want 2 be able 2 do this right.

how do i get some pics up every1? i’ve put a few on photobucket but not got a clue how 2 get them on ere!!! x

Click the “add reply” button – not the quick reply area below.  Then you can click on the Picture Icon (mountains and sun in middle row) and put the URL to the pics there.

Alternatively, you can go to the bottom of the screen of the “add reply” window and under the submit button, you can find an “Attachments” bar.  Click on the arrow to the right, upload your picture and it will be in your file here.  Click on the “Add File to Post” button and viola!  It’s there.

heres maisey every1!!! fingers crossed it works!!!!

 

the 1st 3 are of when we hadn’t long got home. the last 1 is from last night! she was all over the front rm chasing her ball!!! its like shes always been ere. we introduced her 2 the other pets about an hour ago. we did it one by one. she was right up at the front of the hutch having a good sniff at them!!! we didnt let the others go right up 2 the hutch cos i didnt wanna push it 2day!!

she is such a character!! very cheeky!! but also very laid back at the same time.i’m trying 2 litter train. she’s doing her wee’s in it but not her poop!! i’m sure we’ll get there!! anyway, hope u like the photos, there will be more 2 follow once i get her 2 sit still!!!

no doubt i will be posting all sorts of questions very soon as i dont want 2 do anything wrong with her!!

I use photobucket. The way I do it is by right-clicking the picture, clicking on view image info, and then copying the entire “location”. I open up the “add reply” box. Click on the mountain icon, paste in the location. Set the width to 400. And then add it in that way.

i cant believe wot a difference she’s made 2 my life in the 3 days she’s been ere.  every1 who meets her falls in love with her.  all we have 2 do now is open the door 2 her hutch and shes out!! she loves it. she didnt go 2 bed untill nearly 1 am this morning! she was binkying around like kid at xmas!!! it was so much fun 2 watch. i tried 2 get some gd pics but as i’m sure u all no it was almost impossible!! lol  we went shopping 2day 2 look 4 her new house. i dont like her being in this hutch, i’d prefer her 2 have more room when she has 2 be put in.

i have a question 4 u, i want 2 worm and flea her. she was 8 wks on wednesday. i dont have an appt at the vets till nxt fri. will she be ok 2 worm and flea then?  also food, i’m not sure wot the best dry food is 2 feed her on. i dont particulary like wot she is on now. the person we got her from took the 3 babies in when they were 5 wks old. they were left in her garden with a note that had their d.o.b on and a note that said please help, so they were given the food her rabbit is on.  its a cheap mix that i dont think is gd enough so i want 2 get her on 2 something that has all the vits etc she needs.

ohhhh, that is serious cuteness going on there, what a beautiful little bunny.

She should ideally be on alfalfa pellets until she gets a bit older, then she could switch to timothy based pellets. Unlimited hay, and since she is so young be careful about introducing veggies on her sensitive tummy, go slowly or she may get poopy butt. What kind of food mix is she on currently?

she was on a cheap store brand, she was only eating the bits she liked. she is on something different now.  (i went 4 pellets.) although we havent fully taken away the old stuff. but when i go in 2 get her food bowl, the only stuff thats left is the cheap stuff

she has only been ere a week and its like she’s been ere 4ever! she’s even learnt wot time she’s allowed her out time!! she’s put in her hutch at night when we go 2 bed and then again if we av 2 go out 4 a period of about 2 hrs.

i had never seen a rabbit binky b4! they av fast become my favourite thing!!! as soon as shes let out she starts!! we bought some tunnels and straw balls 4 her 4 when shes out, she loves em!!! phil made her a diggy box and i just love watching her dig away!

we’ve got our vets appt this wk, so will be askin when will be best 2 get her spayed etc. i am NOT looking 4ward 2 that.

shes started jumping up on the sofa & chair 4 cuddle time, i absolutley adore this time, she just sits and lets u fuss her!
