I know you guys are going to get tired of me with all the back and forth. lol I’m getting tired of me! I feel like I finally have some good news though!
RHINE IS BACK! I missed the little fuzzball. When I picked him up this morning he was throwing a temper tantrum in his carrier. Grunting and thumping. He thinks he’s such a big shot! lol When we got home he hopped right out of his carrier and made himself at home. He’s been a good boy all day. Runnin, playing and doing binkies. =)
The family that was going to adopt him never even showed up to meet him. I was hopeful he’d be meeting his forever family, but I’m happy to keep him until he does. He’s such a blast to have around. He’s always making me laugh.

He’s such a handsome bunny. I’m jealous ![]()
Welcome back Rhine!
He is just SO beautiful! *grabby hands* I wish I could take him home, I can’t see how anyone could resist him!
(Is secretly hoping he gets to stay with you. Maybe he could become a homeschooling assistant? Gnawing pieces out of pencils…er…I mean, SHARPENING pencils for the teacher?
)
He is very pretty. He really did not spend enough time the first time around with you — he will really get to settle in and grow on you now unless his good looks keep attracting adopters…
MinzMum, you had me laughing! You have to keep the pencils away from him. He chews the erasers off!
Petzy, no one has ever even met with him in the year and a few months they have had him. I just don’t understand it.
I do like him a lot. I think I just have a wall up and won’t let myself get attached. I’m still missing Hugo SO much. Especially his laid back personality. Rhine certainly doesn’t have that! He’s a spunky little thing.
The different personalities can be very endearing. He is a stunner for sure. Just enjoy your time with him. Who knows what will happen.
How does it work when people are interested in meeting him? Does he go back into the shelter for that day?
Yeah. I drop him off and they take him somewhere for the meeting.
I definitely enjoy my time with him. He’s hilarious! =)
I love his ears!! Snuggle that bunny ![]()
Spunk is good.
It makes for lots of great experiences.
I sympathize with you still missing Hugo. When we find one-of-a-kind animal companions and have them for any length of time, it is difficult to imagine anyone else will have an impact. Or that we could withstand another blow if they were suddenly to be gone. I’ve learned this in particular this year with the loss of my Mackenzie Husky, Shadow.
I was adamant for about a month that no more pets would cross the threshold. And then my resolve faltered and I began thinking about it again.
What we wound up with was not at all what I expected, and yet I can’t believe I ever thought I would shun the opportunity. Now I don’t know what I’d do without the little 6.5 pound ‘Yorkshire terror’ that is more like a shadow than my Shadow was.
Every bunny is different. They are like snowflakes. Furry, temperamental, demanding (and extremely snuggle-able) snowflakes. ^_^
Thank you for sharing that with me. =)
That is exciting! I am glad he is back with you!![]()
It’s funny with rabbits, and likely most pets. Sometimes you do connect with one and go ahead in bringing them home. But beside that connection, you have to be in the right place yourself. Things align right and it just feels like the time.
Jersey I got spontaneously and she was young. She was my first rabbit and our connection is unique. I’d wanted another rabbit (I always want another…) but wasn’t actively looking for one or to pair Jersey. But one day I saw an ad and just moved on it. I went to collect Rumball without having even met him. He was very different and didn’t take being handled like Jersey but we got to know each other and I just love him.
I know that it is different after losing one. But my point is there will be a time when you feel open to another forever rabbit or other animal if you so choose. And it may surprise you how that comes about or who it is. Sometimes it’s a case of serendipity and those are the best surprises.
Awwww. He is back!
I have a feeling the little dude is gonna stay with you ![]()
Hope your life with Rhine in it is fabulous.
Gah! He’s so neat looking! I agree with others in the fact that I wish i could adopt him! Hahaha.
Oh no you don’t. One awesome bunny is enough for you! ![]()
Haha, and it sounds like he has as much “personality” as Frankie too! Double trouble!
I’m glad he’s back! I’m a bit selfish though, I just want more pics
That’s sad that the people just didn’t show up! Oh, well they are missing out on a wonderful little bunny.
He is very spunky and gets into everything! Unless he has to walk across vinyl. It’s the greatest bunny proofing object I have. Keeps him out of rooms without baby gates. I couldn’t imagine bunny proofing for 2 like that!! lol
LPT I’m MORE than happy to take care of him until he find a perfect home. Don’t worry, I’m picture crazy. I’ll get more soon! =)
ZO MY GEEZERS! HE IS FLIPPING GORGEOUS! Almost like if BB’s Jack and Frankie had a weird earred baby. I just absolutely love him!
It’s great to see Rhine again :~)
It is great to see him again. He’s mad about the back and forth still. Grunting and grumbling about everything! He let me pet him on the couch for about a hour last night. He’s such a stinker.
Aw, he’s so cute, I’m glad you have him back!
:cough: You should keep him around.. :coughcough: like.. forever! :cough:
