I was going to ask if he had syphillis. My vet said many bunnies carry it, it just doesn’t always have outbreaks. Samson had it and she got a couple shots and she’s good as new

Yes I do believe lots of bunnies carry it.

Since the sores never appeared on his genitals  the older vets said no thats not it.    I believe it has mutated and can be on their lip or their eye and not necessarily on their genitals.

Strange tho since they groom themselves and have contact there on their genitals.

Anyways his vet I emailed the article to him about being only on their lips or eyes.  And the pic of the lip.

Perhaps Cottons appeared cuz Ruby bit him and there was an open wound on his lip.  That may be the reason why it only appeared on his lips.

HE is happily eating right now.

Samson never had it on her genitals either, only her nose. The vet didn’t seem surprised by that, he knew it wasn’t pasturella because her paws were fine, and he said her eyes look a little red but they always look red when she’s stressed so I don’t know if that’s a true characteristic or not. And it didn’t look that bad, it just started a little right before she was spayed and then stayed for about a month so I took her in again and he said he made a note on her file to keep watch so she needed some steroid shots or something.
