Hi guys,
I just got home. I was in a college class.
I left food and everything ready for my bunny as I left before he got up (he was sleeping).
Well my bunny sitter was not a great one and I forgot to get the bag of pellets OUT of the room (because he often finds ways to get it).
So…here is my issue.
He ate a lot of pellets. I have no idea how much he ate as everything was spilled on the carpet.
He looks a little bloated and he is finally eating his greens.
So what can I do so he won’t feel too terrible? His stomach (senior rabbit) is very sensitive and often if feed improper has tummy aches.
Stinky cute thing! He is eating his greens sooooo happily. I am sure he is saying “good thing you were out late today” or “Hahahaha I finally got my paws on more pellets”. Stinker…
He..can’t poop? Hes in his litter box trying, but nothing.
He has had issues with eating too much pellets. He just likes them so much. I wonder why? I can even use them as treats really. He likes them that much. I only give him 1/4 per day is this ok? so a few in the morning and some at dusk. Should I give him more? Less?
I was wondering if you guys can also tell me what kind of rabbit he is. His medical papers when I adopted him said he has a silverfox mix, but I have no idea. I have never talked to my vet about identifying him. In the mean time please let me know if you know what kind of rabbit he is.The doctor said he is at a good weight and that he is not obese (he currently weights 8.1pounds).
Hes been having a few issues keeping his bum clean (sometimes not all the time) so I don’t want him gaining any more weight, but hes reaching out for the pellets desperately so I want to make him happy.
How can I compromise with my bunny so he will be healthy and still gets his pellets?
Thank you very much.
Cyndy
